Team Vs West Brom (a)

Look I know it's early, but I'm bored so thought I'd indulge myself and anyone who's interested with the team we'd like to see against West Brum.

I thought the main problem we had Vs Wigan was these 4 players - Palacios, Hudd, Crouch, Defoe. Now I like all these players a lot, but what none of them are good at is damaging teams in the gap between the oppositions midfield and defence. Crouch and Defoe will rarely drop into the gap and link play a la Keane and Pavlyuchenko, and it is neither Hudd or Wilsons game to make play in this area like Modric does so expertly, or Jenas who will make late runs to support the forwards. Against Wigan there was always a big gap between the deep lying WP and Hudd, and the CB hugging Defoe and Crouch, with Bale and Lennon double marked out wide. It's not a criticism of those 4 players at all, just an observation of what I thought was the main problem we had on Saturday.

This is what I'd like to see... Assuming Crouch is out injured, and Modric is not back.

When I said this may be a bit to early, I was under the impression that this game was on Saturday, I've just realised it's a week saturday :lol: Bloody internationals.

Jumped the gun a bit there, hopefully we sign Andy Booth tomorrow so I can put him in my team :up:
