Gawd, I hope you are right but Pulis is no mug.....he can get blood out of a stone
Indeed. Making opposing players bleed, preferably to death, is the basis only thing he brings to his teams. Hopefully someone gets him with a high boot - in the lower groin area (ripping stuff off) or throat would be ideal.

I'd go for:

Lloris
Walker--Dawson--Vlad--Rose
Lamela--Dembele--Sandro--Eriksen
--Adebayor--Soldado--

What I think Sherwood will play:

442

WALKER
DAWSON
CHIRICHES
ROSE

LENNON
DEMBELE
ERIKSEN
TOWNSEND

ADEBAYOR
KANE/SOLDADO(if he is fit)

What I would like to see us play:

433

WALKER
DAWSON
CHIRICHES
ROSE

CAPOUE
HOLTBY
DEMBELE

LAMELA
ADEBAYOR
ERIKSEN

Does your left ball hang lower than your right? If so, why is Lamela ahead of Adebayor?

Because our resurgence has coincided in Adebayor playing a deeper role than Soldado and I would rather he stayed in that position, Lamela can play up top in the Soldado.

Technically...technically it would be a 442 but you obviously cant suggest that in this day and age. So uncool.

And it depends how warm I am really, and how tight my cremaster is.

A game we need to win but we struggled to beat them in the first game of the season and now under Pulis they will be tougher. Let's hope a week of rest, added to good league form propels us to a positive result

Lloris

Walker Dawson Vlad Rose

Lamela Sandro Eriksen Lennon

Ade Soldado
I'd give Dembele a rest, and go for a very attacking midfield. Palace at home is one instance where I'd want to overload the opposition with attacking players. Giving Lamela a start would be a good chance for him to build up some confidence.

Yeah, I like him.

Exactly. Holtby - passionate, hardest working player we have in our squad that scored a screamer to beat Fulham and can pick a pass on his day as well as tackle back.

It bums me out that Lewis doesn't get into our midfield more often right now. A trio of him, Dembele and Sandro is what dreams are made of if you ask me.

Gotta be honest, I have no idea why some of our fans think Lamela can play as an out and out striker. Maybe I'm missing something but I have seen no evidence of him having done this at any stage in his career.

The only place I'd wanna see him start right now is on the right wing. That's his natural position and where he needs to gain confidence playing.

That said, Lennon is playing well and Sherwood has said that Lamela won't start until he's sure that he knows what EL's strengths are etc. Plus he's also been injured so I wouldn't get your hopes up about him just yet.

Have you been in a cocoon? According to a conversation with a Roma fan that has been publicised on here he played more as one of the '2' in a 4-3-1-2 formation, hence the reference to him playing more centrally or as a striker.

He's struggled enough to settle as it is, I don't think hanging him out to dry on the right is really what he needs right now.

I like him too, but not sure there's a role for him at the moment.

I think he struggled from not playing in a settled team. His game is based on one touch passing and intuitively picking out players runs with first time through balls and clever passes. Unfortunately it has been hard for him to show his true ability consistently because has been in and out of the team so often.

I think you might be right though. He doesn't really have the dynamism to play as part of the midfield 2 that Tim seems set on implementing. He also doesn't have the pace or dribbling ability to play on the wing so unfortunately If we stick with Tim then Lewis will be off at the end of the season.
