Oh come on Francis be fair.

He worked hard, put in some really good tackles, constantly showed for the ball and never hid despite his first half performance and improved greatly. Should've had 2 goals and played a couple of key passes
A championship player could do that for us to. I don't want a 25
Million pound player who works hard and wants the ball. I want a very good player with th ball at his feet

couldn't disagree more - like it or not its the absolute measurement, because ultimately its the one that makes or breaks a player and the manager.
Even a supportive manager will eventually break under the pressure of a home crowd, especially if results and performances of the team in general are poor.

A good one won't if he believes the crowd are wrong.

nope, otherwise i would have missed seeing his sitter that he took off Alli who would have scored and his continual
running into blind alleys when he wasn't giving the ball away ...... keep clutching
I thought he looked really sharp. Made a few errors but there's a cracking player in there. Great finish too and unlucky with the one that hit the post.

What about a player that already has a goal and assist then as well as being in the top 3 key passers despite only starting 2 games

the canvassing I conducted was with my ears ....... he got pelters last night, very seldom have I heard a player so disliked by the crowd may be Jenas in recent years and John Pratt in days gone by.

All that says is that there are a load of people in the crowd that are as braindead as you portray yourself to be.

Crowd opinion changes with the wind or a decent half of football.

That said I dont think Lamela plays if Eriksen is fit

Yes because the crowd never get it wrong do they?

The same crowd who used to get on Carrick's back?

The same crowd who loved Bobby so much?

The same crowd who cheered Lamela's goal?

If you don't rate Lamela Franny that's fine, everyone is entitled to their own opinion (and personally I don't think he's ever going to be a star for us), but don't invoke the views of the crowd as your evidence...that's very weak.

Now I know you've lost it - no-one loved Bobby Mimms.

With Townsend, Lamela and Eriksen as the sub, I guess there will be a plan b for us, so not a disaster if the starting XI not performing

I reckon that's the strongest team we could put out.

Lloris, Walker, Rose, Alderweirreld, Vertonghen, Dier, Mason, Son, Alli, Lamela, Kane.

Reason for Rose is so we can try and combat the pace of the Place side, really surprised that we haven't gone for a pacey Centre half in the summer.

I'm a little worried about the weekend as this will be the first game that our game will be tested by true pace on the flanks.

Be delighted with a win but not too upset with a draw, along as we've played well.

Lloris
Walker Fazio Vertonghen Davies
Veljkovic Carroll
Chadli Onomah Son
Kane

Vorm, Toby, Alli, Winks, Lamela, N'Jie, Townsend

We have Arsenal mid week and City on Saturday. Toby and Alli just played the full 90 on Sunday and Thursday. Give them a rest. Dier took a knock last game so leave him out. Bring in Fazio, Carroll and Veljkovic in their places. If they arent yet 100%, I wouldnt risk Mason and Eriksen here with the 2 games we have coming up this week. Onomah makes his debut at AMC due to injuries and squad rotation.

VERTONGHEN
DAVIES

DIER
ALLI

SON
LAMELA
CHADLI

KANE

This is assuming Mason, Bentaleb and Eriksen are all still injured.

.......................Lloris........................,

Walker....Toby............Verts.......Rose

........................Dier..........................

...........Alli...................Mason............

.........................Son..........................

...............Kane............Chadli............

If Eriksen is back then I'd drop Chadli and I'd bring in Lamela if Mason is injured and go 4-2-3-1

What's the thoughts on LB? Davies or Rose? I thought Davies has done well recently, Danny made a couple of mistakes on Thursday which could have easily cost a goal or two but it's a closer call than it was at the begging on the season. I think I would choose Rose still, he needs some game time to get back to his best.
