Can’t see bale starting again Wednesday after playing most of the match today.

So I’d go same as today but Bergwijn or Moura for bale

Rest him away at Leicester where he'd need to track not at home where he's so effective. Leicester's wingbacks would expose him badly, villa's not so much

I’m sure the attending fans would be looking forward to seeing Bale play .

You could be on to something there.

I know it sounds a bit ridiculous, but I can't help wondering if the team selection could be made with thoughts about appeasing the supporters in the stadium?

It's been a miserable & emotionally sapping season. So giving the supporters something to cheer and get behind 'could' be in the clubs thought?

100%

Imagine the roar from the crowd when Dele did that nice nutmeg and run, or when Reggy won the ball he had no right to leading up to the 2nd, or when bale gets it, leaves his man for dead and shapes up to hit a curler. Seriously can't wait for Weds match.

Agree Coops, I’ve never felt so disengaged from football and Spurs as I do now, but the opportunity to take my eldest to see Bale play in the flesh was one I couldn’t pass up. Fortunately I was successful in the ballot and I can’t wait to get back in the stadium on Wednesday.

I hope you and your eldest get exactly what you're hoping for mate. Belt out a verse or two for me & everyone else not lucky enough to be able to be there (y)

If I’m totally honest I was initially cursing the ballot success ?! Now I’m super excited though.
One thing is for sure, I will be taking full advantage of the free food on offer before getting right behind the team. It’ll just be nice to be back in the stadium again.

I felt 10x more disengaged when Mourinho was in charge. We're playing some decent attacking football now and not hiding behind the sofa. Players actually have smiles on their faces and have some freedom to express themselves. Fuck me, what a disaster Mourinho was.

Nonsense, at the Euros he plays 90 mins for Wales every three or four days.

International football intensity isn't as high as the Prem.

Regardless I don't see why he won't start, he's match fit by all accounts nowadays, I'm sure he can play 2 b2b matches in 3 days.

DL: "Ryan - the fans have been a bit miserable and emotionally sapped after the way this season's gone. Can you try and get the lads to win a game and maybe kick the ball forwards more. Preferably at the goalkeeper?"

RM: "If you think it'll help - Jose is one of the best and wasn't a fan of that, though"

:D
