It is a concern.

If PSV set up in similar fashion to the first leg, they'll play 4-5-1, or since they're at home 4-3-3 (with two wide strikers and a central striker). That means Steed will probably move inside much of the time to match up against their 3 CMs, and our LB will often be left one-on-one against Farfan (or Allefay).

If our LB is an out-of-position Teemu or Jamie O'Hara, that's not a good match-up.

That's the bad news.

The good news is that if we can work out that this is a problem, I'm sure Don Juande has, and he must have a game plan to counter this. I look forward to see The Ramos Solution! :)

For what its worth I can see us starting as a 4-4-2 but can see us for quite long periods having some distance between Chimbo, Woody & Leds across the backline whilst pushing the LB up and squeezing Steed inside to match up the numbers. In short I can see us for good spells of this game playing a sort of 3-5-2 with O'Hara & Lennon outside of JJ, Steed and a very discipline sitting Zokora protecting the back 3.

Of course when required we can very easily slip straight back into a 4-4-2.

Hope he can show that he can be diciplined tonight cos sometimes he acts link he isn't very disciplined

Zokora's discipline has improved a lot under Ramos and there are 2 important things to remember should Ramos elect to play this way.

Firstly what Zokora can do is cover the ground quickly and if he needs to get out to wide areas to help us he is well equipped.

And secondly he will have Woody & King playing behind him and if he is threatening to lose his discipline these 2 need to be responsible enough to remind him. This is much easier for players like Woody & King to do than say Daws & Kaboul.

just had a thought we all speaking as if JJ is out and Tommy is deffo going to be replacing him but what if DZ and TT are both in the middle, it could be a possiblity and then Tommy coming on with say half an hour to go, could that be a possiblity, not that i would want DZ and TT in the middle together

My main worry about this DC is us getting over crowded in midfield.

If Berbs or Keane play deep we could find ourselves with too many players in there and not enough forward options.

This is 1 of the reasons along with their lack of height that I would seriously consider playing Bent tonight instead of Keane. I just think that he will suit us more for this game.

However I know that this won't happen and hope more than anybody that Keane scores the goals to put us through.

The irritating thing is that, from a defensive perspective, I'd be fairly relaxed if Chimbo and YP Lee were our FBs tonight.

So, the suggestion that Lee has been left in London is perplexing since: a) at the very least, he'd be good to have on the bench: b) PSV are his former club and he must be desperate to travel to the match.

There´s no such thing as a disciplined Zokora!
