taking my wife and 6 month old to the stadium for the first time for the friendly on sunday.

for the baby - do you know she needs her own seat. i found something saying 'all ages' on the official site, but surely i don't have to pay each time i want to bring a nipper who'll be asleep in a carrier.

also assuming no prams etc - and to take as much as i can in clear bags due to bag search?

this is a far cry from the keys wallet phone approach i usually take...

Worth checking out baby ear defenders as well. It will make life easier for the baby. :)

I don't think a six month-year-old needs a seat or ticket. You can always call up and double-check.

Also, have fun with the family and take plenty of photos!

Was planning to go this weekend. Whole family. But my daughter is getting a lot of stick for supporting Spurs and honestly, it’s just not nice. She was getting it from her cousins yesterday and I found her crying in the toilet. She’s 8 years old and it dealing with media and social media level of shite that Spurs have never won anything. Honestly want to just tell her it’s ok not to support them.

Fuck you Levy. We are the butt of everyone’s jokes.

do think it's cheeky you have to buy a ticket (i.e. spend money, not just register the baby) for a baby...it's a bit of a money grab that.

It's hard. My 8 year old ish ust getting into spurs and going to the game Sunday for his first game for them (been to a couple of games up in Scotland but that's it)

I keep telling him most clubs dont win cups each year and it's more about playing good football. So hopefully not letting him watch us the last 2 years pays off with Ange!

Plus he's only now liking spurs as he got FIFA 23 and I kept playing as spurs and winning vs him.....not sure if that was a good move or not!

I've already decided that I'm not going to force my kids (4 and 1) to be Spurs fans, but I will organically encourage them.

At the moment my eldest's favourite colour is red, add that to the fact that Arsenal look like they're about to have a decent period and I could well see him being influenced in that direction. Particularly if he has friends in primary school who are Gooners. If it happens, so be it, but I sure as fuck wont be taking him to games.

Mate that's terrible parenting. My kids don't like football, I'm embarrassed about it, but OK, if they supported Arsenal, I have no kids

Buy him the 1890-96 shirt. Sorted.

I took my lad at 2 and a half, and i thought it was too young. He lost interest after 5-10mins but did enjoy the songs that he recognised. However, he has always talked about it since going and really wants to go again (he's 4.5 now). I'm going to take him again this season but with the expectation that he will only really be interested for about half the game.

The wife said I had to give the kids there own choice of who to support, I told them it's spurs or they choose to life in the garden shed

Taking my 9 year old for the first time (my first spurs game since the 90s!) on Sunday. He's asking about seeing the players arrive(off the coach into the stadium) is that possible?

Nah, the coach goes into the stadium.

However, if you get there early enough and are in the North stand or NW corner, you can watch the players walk from the NE corner, in front of the north stand to the NW corner before they go into the changing rooms

Thankfully my 7 year old lass couldn't give a monkeys about footy, and has a far less expensive interest in horse riding...

In theory, they have ear defenders at the ground that you can borrow. My grandsons did this one time. Their Dad's Apple watch kept warning him about the noise being loud.

Does anyone have any advice for parking please? My son and I are being dropped off as he has a disability but my daughter’s family are looking to park and walk. I think ikea is closed? Any suggestions would be welcome. This is their first time ever at a Spurs game and alas there are too many to fit in our car.

Depends where u are coming from it’s easier to park at a station and jump on train or bus won’t be packed on Sunday so it will be easy to get away providing there ain’t no strikes

Ah thanks! Good to know. They are coming from the midlands. I wasn’t sure how rammed public transport would be. And obviously very few away fans (I assume! Maybe not!). Much better option. Thank you!

Enfield Town isn't a bad option for a short hop to White Hart Lane. There's a small car park right by the station but bigger multistoreys in the town centre.

Interestingly There's a big new multistorey at North mid hospital which is walkable.
