The only bad thing I can see, bar the human rights thing, which we won't talk about, is convincing new people that I supported Spurs before they were the world's most successful team

It's not going to happen. But we've always been well supported no matter how shit.

Not at the risk that in ten years time they are all in jail and we are fucked. The way Man City are run is fantastic for them. People that look like they are in for the long term, building brilliant facilitys too with obscene amounts of cash. They are very lucky. Got to be aware of the Vincent Tans of the world. But maybe theres a middle ground out there
I meant specifically someone who would bring success like city and chelsea have had other time

The godfather comments were in jest in response to the posters Mafia comment

A fair proportion of people now saying they'd be OK with it would have slated, have slated and do slate other teams for it.
I've never had a single negative thing to say about or to fans of any club with billionaire investment - I've always thought it the most stupid thing to hold against a fan and I've always wanted us to benefit from it

See I'm the opposite. I use every angle going to slag off opposition fans. Whether it be that they have no jobs to prawn sandwitch brigade. Makes no difference.

I'm kidding, but if it does happen watch how many plastics come out of the woodwork. Success breeds fans which is why the majority of United fans are from Hertfordshire.

Is it a bad thing? They will bring money to the club and want us to win. Many will be old Spurs fans that got disillusioned and are returning. Some will have hardly heard of us. Good luck to them.

You're right, I just want people to know that I supported us when Jason Cundy was a main stay of our team. I'm a dick like that.

Yea but it just seems pointless - what fan is going to give a damn about a rival fan slagging them off because their team is successful (more successful that the fan slagging them off's team no less) because of billionaire investment?

With me - I'm the type of person who only deals in what I believe to be facts rather than banter for banters sake, so the fact I know that if I was in a chelsea fans shoes with my team winning everything there is to win in football due to such investment I would bat am eye or be remotely offended means I would use it against someone else as I see no value I'm it as a jibe (no impact)

We are now probably the most embarrassing home support in the country.

"One nil and you still don't sing" - Newcastle

"It is quiet here" - commentator

People can disagree with me all they like but the proof is in the pudding.

Us oldies are still doing our time, it's a life sentence, but unlike the current judicial system, we don't get out halfway through!! :)

Been Spurs my whole life. So 36 years. Some good a lot bad though. I would really like to see us winning stuff regularly again though.

40 years me. I too want to see us win trophies on a regular basis, what I don't want is us to be like Chelsea, a soulless plaything or like the scum, a club designed to just qualify for the CL and rake in the cash. I'd rather we won trophies for the sake of winning them, for the glory, if that means just the FA or League Cups then so be it, I couldn't really give a flying piece of monkey shit about the CL!!
