Ramos got the first leg wrong, (in my opinion) in tactics. The second leg was much better. He obviously didnt want to overcomit incase they hit us on the break so second leg the tactics where pritty much spot on.

What really impresses me about Ramos is his ability to learn. In the first game PSV prevented us from getting momentum and we were never able to turn their wide players with Lennon in particular never able to get the possession to do his stuff. What does Ramos do? He comes up with a line up which countered their ability to play on the break against us. Oh what a learning curve this man has given to all our vanilla SC contributors. Change in line up and change during the game. He is a conductor using his orchestra in various ways. He is exceeding my expectations almost weekly. I would imagine most of our squad initially told him where they played. Now they ask him before each match where / how does he want them to play. Fantastic.

in your opinion. But lets face it, your opinion counts for fuck all really, and i wouldnt even think of doubting Ramos tactics - he clearly knows a fuck load more than you, me or any pretender on this board.

He has got them right in every game for us, but getting the tactics right doesnt always mean you win now does it.

I don't think he got the tactics wrong first leg as it was the same 4-4-2 tactics that we normally use. We just didn't perform and an individual mistake cost us. But even conceeding, to give yourself a chance in a 2-legged tie then it is better to score at least 1 goal at home. But on that occassion we couldn't break down their defence. PSV played well and we just didn't perform.
