Supporting a second team

Been in Bergen many times. Lovely place.

Have been SK Brann on FM. Haven't been to Bergen or Norway though. Heard it's quite beautiful.
Yeah it's a nice place ... the couple of days a year when it's not chucking it down with rain.

Nah I exaggerate, it does rain a hell of a lot here though.

Brann is just an awfully run club. Bergen's a one club town, pretty much everyone here supports Brann, second highest gates in Noway behind Rosenborg, and they've only won the league three times, 1962, 1963 and 2007! The way they managed to demolish the team, management and board that led them to the title in 07 was astonishing. They only just survived the drop in 2010 and have completely rebuilt this year. Made a promising start to the 2011 season but they're a lot like Spurs, at some point they will let you down.

I always try and follow a second team - usually Leyton Orient or Ajax but I find it hard to keep up with so I sort of fall in and out with it.

I remember that I had been in Iran and it was really sunny and nice and then a week later I was in Bergen and it was pissing down and cold and I was wearing a scarf, gloves and long coat. Love it.

Have you been to the restaurant in the Museum? A friend of a friend is the chef.

Yep, sounds like Bergen!

Off the top of my head I can't even remember a museum that has a restaurant in it

It's the other side of the central square, roughly opposite the Radisson (which is where I usually stay).

Leyton Orient - local team, used to go a lot before I could afford to go to WHL that much.

Hammarby from Stockholm - used to be them on Championship Manager all the time, which turned into following their progress in real life.

QPR - always keep an eye out for their results. Can't remember why, but remember liking them when I was pretty young.

It was Wolves for me. I was a big fan of Steve Bulls and have looked out for their results ever since.

QPR - Always had a soft spot for them. Ecstatic that they have come up and will definitely be going Loftus Road for our fixture with them :)

AFC Wimbledon. I've been following them ever since the Milton Keynes debacle and now they're one game away from League football!

S****horpe United. The spiritual home of English football, producing the likes of Taylor, Keegan, Clemence and starting Burkinshaw off on the road to managerial glory!

Always look out for Readings results as I was a steward there for a year while I was at Uni.

Also up until recently I had a season ticket for Yeovil as they're my local team, but I've started going to spurs a lot more often now.

Southend - local team
Tranmere - played for the youth team there (very briefly)
and
Dinamo Zagreb - Followed them ever since we played them a few years back. Absoloutely awesome support and what seems like an impecable youth system. I have a few delivery drivers who come to our place from Zagreb and they always bring me Dinamo gifts. Heres hoping the next gift is wrapped up lovely like Modric

heres a reminder of those fans 15 minutes after a 4 nil loss at the lane! (im in this clip)

This was my reasoning behind Spain or Italy. I figured I'd follow one of the Milans or Real since we played them this year. But I am hesitant at following such big teams as I've always hated people like London Man U fans who only follow said club because they are really successful and win regularly.

As I live in Norwich I want the Canaries to do well (although not against us next season).

I'm also fond of Lazio after Gazza's time over there in the nineties.

I also like both Old Firm Clubs, and find the drama of the rivalry fascinating.

Moved about so much that I seemed to have picked up a few teams I follow (rather than actively support).

So other than Spurs:
- Oxford UTD (born in Oxford, came back for Uni, now working in Oxford)
- Hamburg SV (my brother was born there)
- Rangers (when I moved to Scotland I was given a simple choice, Rangers or Celtic)
