I don't get to WHL very often as I now live over 4,600 miles away!
Anyway, I just visited StubHub to see if I could get a couple of tickets to go to the West Ham or Chelsea match when we are back in London for a visit in September/October. I know they are london derbys and popular, but people are taking the piss.

Some people are asking for almost £300 for a single ticket! I know people want to make a bit extra, but for me at least...it's totally priced me out of being able to go and support Spurs (which I only get to do every few years anyway these days). I'd be fine with paying a little over the odds so someone could make a bit extra for the hassle, but can't splash out silly money for each ticket.

I guess that's capitalism for you..still gutted as I was really looking forward to getting back to WHL (old man still lives down the road in Crouch End so don't have far to travel).

Do you lot think if I waited a bit closer to the time that there would be any tickets left? Any suggestions?

I'll be posting 2 tickets for the West Ham game on StubHub for £60 each which is only £6 over the face value to cover my listing fees. There are still some genuine sellers out there!
They're in the Park Lane Upper by the way.

Can I suggest that you give a shout-out here before you do?

StubHub sounds like a complete scam from what I've heard. Am I missing something or is it just legalized touting?

Unfortunately we can;;t allow ticket selling between members on Spurs Community.
I'm not suggesting ticket selling on here... I'm suggesting giving people here the heads up that there is a reasonably priced ticket available on stub-hub... (y)

That's a very good idea. Maybe we could have a 'stub hub alert' thread, enabling SC members to alert other members about their ticket and the price they're listing for for each match?

Well I for one, due to personal circumstances, will be selling quite a number of my tickets this season (2 tickets each time) and although I don't condone ticket touting at least through StubHub we can get our money back instead of the club profiting twice from the sale of our tickets. I will only ever sell at face value plus fees as I don't believe in ripping off a fellow yid.

I'd definitely be up for those west ham tickets!
Not sure how I could be sure of getting then without in trouble with the mods.

A PM maybe? :)

I went to buy a couple of tickets for the Swansea game. £45 face value tickets were being sold for £69. So about 50% more. They were the most reasonably priced so I bought them

This stub hub just means I now need to be aware of the on sale dates

This stub hub thing is absolute bollox. Just another in the long list of bullshit we seem to have to put up with as football supporters

Can the authorities actually bleed anymore unjustified money out of the pockets of the average hard working fans!

£69 for Swansea City, disgraceful. The club and supporters selling with that mark up should be ashamed. Billy Nic will be turning in his grave

I know other spurs sites we're tickets are advertised...genuine fans selling to genuine fans, face value only plus a pint or 2 on meeting(y) as a thank you.

the way it should be, any spurs fans making money out of another spurs fan is a fucking leach & aint worth:poop:

from listening on the spurs show they did say stubhub works well but it takes time for the market to balance itself out. You might get stupid prices now but when they don't sell people will start lowering them . All i say to people is don't pay the crazy prices and it will gradually drop, this is something with it's own eco system and it will balance out gradually.

So, are people restricted to selling these through StubHub only? If not, where are these other sites to buy tickets? I'm in the market but don't want to violate any SC rules...

I wonder what the club will make of the prices starting to appear for the Chelscum game - market forces or profiteering?

Checked Stub Hub this morning and cheapest Chelsea ticket on there at the moment is £115. Most expensive is £1000, or was this morning. Our next match in the Premiership, Norwich, starts at £52 I think.

Firstly if you do buy a stub hub ticket make sure you turn up 2-3 hrs before kick off if you want to get in on time and secondly keep checking especially in the days before the game you might be able to get at face. I got block 27 at face last thurs for Swansea game fact that i got in 20 mins after kick off rather took the gloss of it.
FYI i sent e-mails to both stub hub and the thfc ticket office.Stub hub replied withing 3 hrs and have offered me a £20 refund. The ticket office because they are the busiest ticket office in the world sent a generic e-mail back saying it could take up to 5 days to answer my query. What odds i don't hear anything from them
