I ordered a couple of t-shirts from the club store as they were on special offer, and in the bag was a flyer for 'SpursPlay' a new (?) place for all video and audio content from the club, including live stream of all pre-season friendlies, live audio commentary on matchdays and full match replays of every fixture, all of course premium subscriber content . No idea of cost.

Here's a pic of the flyer

Haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else (I'm not on the club site that often) but thought it was worth passing along.

Members get £10 discount so not sure how much this thing will cost! Hopefully £15! ?

Would consider it if it covered matches not on tv
They won’t be streaming any competitive matches live mate, which isn’t a bad thing IMO...if clubs were allowed to do that then the huge club’s incomes would dwarf ours. Best to keep the financial split as even as possible,

Getting select Spurs women's games not much of an incentive to pay out as all games apart from those chosen by Sky are completely free on FA player and sometimes on BBC. Under 23's and U18's might be worth it.

Having read a bit deeper into it, it’s apparently u23 games etc that will be shown.
but my point was about the games that sky don’t show (we’ve had a couple recently). There’s no reason for these games not to be broadcast in one way or another so if the clubs were allowed to stream them to members only I think that would be sensible if nothing else.
Better than illegal streaming surely

It's long overdue and probably (well hopefully) the last step before the club launches it's own TV channel, which is also long overdue. Most of the 'big' clubs have their own TV channels.

Only if the finances were balanced across the league mate. It’s a slippery slope if clubs can sell their own matches. The clubs with smaller fanbases will be at a disadvantage, the gap between the haves and have nots will get even bigger.

Club actually announced this about 2 months ago. Probably waiting to see if we get top 4 before they announce the pricing. Best part for me will be the Academy games as Covid has made it near impossible to get into Hotspur way. Full replays are handy as well, few sites you can get that now but they usually get blocked after a few days.

I don’t think you’re seeing my point. Currently sky/b/Amazon broadcast games for a fee.
But they don’t broadcast all games.
The games that don’t get selected for broadcast (Sunday 2pm for example) should be broadcast in some way.
They arent subject to the Saturday 3pm rule (which is outdated imo), but as the broadcasters select not to show some games, the clubs could stream this.

It seems totally unfair that a uk fan who can’t go to the game can’t watch it on tv, but a fan in Norway (for example) can. if you think that’s a slippery slope then surely the solution is just to broadcast all the games?

I have absolutely no problem with all games being broadcast mate, I agree with a lot of this post...especially the 3pm blackout bullshit. I understand the argument for it but don’t agree with it.

Wont need a TV channel. Netflix doesnt have one. A multi platform app is the way to go. Spus matches are the only thing I consume live now.

They've been pushing this in the bairn's kids membership renewal stuff. Looks more aimed at the younger fans.

There is a reason for them not being shown mind. The blackout is largely there to protect lower league football, and I think it could well make a difference. A trial period is probably needed to work out how much.

I would buy this to watch 90s and 00s season reviews, but there is no specific mention of them on any marketing material, just 'archive footage'. I can see the club feeling that the lower production values would harm the brand. It will probably be full of polished PR rubbish and not a proper archive that fans would actually enjoy.

A trial period is fair enough. But as a spurs fan, frankly I’m not interested in watching lower league football. I could watch Stevenage live every other week if I wanted to.
the argument that it would affect lower league attendance is flimsy. Subscription costs to sky /bt etc are similar to the cost of a ticket to league 1/2 anyway. With a season ticket cheaper.
it really is in need of an overhaul

Sky show delayed full coverage of all games except the ones that BT have shown live.
I think MUTV is around £8 per month for similar coverage. This is available on tv.
