Well............it's the same old story. When it gets to the last few games and people realise they can't win - they don't give a flying fuck who has won and that includes the person running the damn thing. It was the same last season. I worked out that I'd won but nobody ever bothered announcing it cos nobody cared.

History repeats itself obviously, I think I might have won it again but nobody else cares......makes you wonder why we even take part eh?

first of all please accept my apologies for my tone and some of the comments - reading my post back it was perhaps a bit strong, I was pissed when I wrote it which is no excuse but it's the reason for it I'm afraid.

Having said that it is annoying that there have been no final updates. People posted last year and this year asking for the final results which went ignored and it does suggest that nobody is bothered anymore because the season has ended. It took a post like mine to make you react unfortunately.

I appreciate the time that is required looking after kids, I have two boys of my own and with work etc it leaves little time for anything else so I'm understanding of your plight (I was going to say sympathetic to it but that's the wrong word, it's a joy spending time with your kids as you are finding out ) I'm sure you're aware there are any number of people that would help out if you asked. Cosmic has done it plenty of times, I did an update last year and I'm sure others would chip in, it's a bit of fun that we all enjoy taking part in and we all appreciate the time spent organising it. when there's no obvious end point though it does leave you wondering why you've taken part.

I genuinely hope you haven't fallen out with me, it wasn't meant that way, it was a stupid throwaway comment. I'll gladly give you a hand running it next season.

I really enjoy taking part every season and will always be happy to help out - but I think it would be too much to ask if we had gone several games without updates. Happy to do it on a game by game basis if SM doesn't have time and lets me know before a game that he will be too busy.

I would offer to take over if SM doesn't want to do it any more but I may have the odd emergency myself as I'm looking after my 75 year old disabled partner post-stroke who is now having memory problems and the occasional visits from relatives that can temporarily limit my online time. With the kind of back-up I've been offering to SM myself in the past from some kind soul, I could no doubt manage it and would do my best to keep things up to date.

No pressure on SM though, I'm not attempting to oust him by any means and am happy to continue as a back-up.

Where's my trophy hmmm? Where's my open top bus parade hmmmmm????
