Although skip and hojberg are playing well we look too open in CM

One of Bergwijn or lucas needs to help back there

The commentator is posing me right off. Is it that twat morrow? Wear ham have not got any of the better stats. You’d think they were all over us??

Pretty open game so far. We've carried a fair amount of attacking threat but equally at the other end felt we've been a little bit off it in terms of our defensive work - bit open, a yard off in the press, defensive shape getting dragged about a bit - and have allowed them to play their way into areas and opportunities to launch the aerial bombardment.

On general play I think we look better and deserve the lead, but you can ill afford to have those 5-10 mins we saw where we totally lost it and looked liked conceding at any moment. Second half I'd like to see us lockdown the game, keep that ball and control proceedings and aim for an absolute minimum in giving away crosses/set pieces.

Really enjoyable to watch us play atm.

Still not sold on the Hoyberg&Skipp partnership. Both of them are great players, but i feel we would be even more dynamic and fluid with a more creative player in there next to either of them.

My gripe with the misplaced pass. Who was he trying to pass to? That ball was never on

If you're talking about Dier he was trying to get it to Kane but either skipp or Hojberg (or both) didn't get their trackers wide enough - or have space for themselves for the easier pass.

Dier should have probably just kicked long and high but it was clearly a Conte instruction that failed in the execution.

dier's a nice lad, seams like a great teammate. But i will never ever rate him as a footballer. way too over confident in his passing, a snail on the turn and gets beat in the air too much for such a big lad. we will always be leaky until we drop him.
