Not quite sure how we have managed not to pick up more points recently.

Anyhow, love the philosophy and the style. With a few more decent recruits and less bad luck with injuries…… we are gonna be a force.

This season was always about transition
The first 15 were absolutely terrific. West Ham were really struggling.

I said to my dad that West Ham players must be wishing they played for a team like ours.

Its easy to forget thats start.

As I said, better quality and depth and we do 2 things.

1. Be more ruthless and go 2 up early.
2. Adapt to West Ham going deeper by using a better bench or simply stepping up.

So how do you sort it out with our lack of creation without Maddison and our lack of goals without Kane?

With each passing game you can see the confidence infront of goal draining out of them…
This is what we have to learn to do. We can't play Maddison all the time and expect him to deliver in every game. It's what Ange has to figure out. A top team has to have multiple attacking avenues and ways to score goals.

Wont be like this forever.

If you get a second goal then WH have to come out and leave gaps.

I also think our play suffered second half because of depth.

People need to start to recall the early part of the season.

We had first halves where we had a 15-20 minute period where the level dropped. Then second half we raised it again.

Thats cause Sarr was running all day, Maddison was constantly instigating and VdV allowed us to take more risks.

We are starting to rely on limited players and players who are not as physical/energetic.

Get that back and we will see more 2 nil wins.

I agree though that we need better quality from the wings.

Deki, Gil, Richy's and Johnson's numbers are poor
I thought tonight was poor all round , Porro and Romero were good , the rest bang average and 2nd half we made it so comfortable for West Ham , we wouldn’t have scored if we played till Xmas . I’m concerned this continues till end of jan and we can’t keep needing to score 3 goals to win a game . We let in 2 goals to a team tonight that came for a 0-0 and we’re wasting time at 1 nil down .

Why do people always want Davies out. He's a solid player.
Because the opposition know hos limitations and lack of agility so will press him hard.

VdV had players try this with him but he is so awkward and technically strong that he easily gets past them which makes them afraid to keep doing it.

He has done ok but it does weaken us

It is becoming clear that we do need a striker, not just a forward but a striker a goal taker a leader of the line, a focal point, someone who can shift a yard then shoot not just hit it and hope. We sold one and we need a new one. We cannot go on wasting so many opportunities every game. Our football sometimes is superb, scintillating and deserves better finishing.
A damn shame tonight.

First proper stinker throughout (Chelsea implosion aside) this season. Next to no bite going forwards. Pity. Hopefully we can turn it around soon because we're in danger of getting stuck in a rut at this rate, and there's no need for that.

I thought we were good first half but failed to take our chances and get the second.

Second half was poor all over the pitch.

Don’t remember us creating 1 clear cut chance first half!?

Best chance of the half by a mile was the West Ham header at the far post without a spurs defender within 10 yards of him!!

There's a lot of good reasons why the results have been poor recently. But there's no good reason for the 2 shocking goals we gave up tonight. Wasted chances ain't helping, but I'm more fucked off with the stupid goals we're still giving away.

The football's good, and the forwards will eventually start taking some of their opportunities again. But can we ever stop shooting ourselves in the fucking foot. Do that, and we're all good.
