Fair fucking play to Sissoko for not letting his head drop tonight after that miss vs Liverpool. The guy player out of his skin

Opening ceremony so shockingly bad I could barely watch. Right up there with Olympics. It improved slightly when it was just the girl and the baritone singing GGTH but even then I was squirming a bit. I thought it was slightly played up for American audience

Should have just got a Chas and Dave tribute act in and just had the kids sing along to it on the pitch

Fireworks and illumination fantastic.

Made hard work of it but a deserved win, Winks back and 6 days to prep for Citeh

Which Olympics? Because the 2012 opening ceremony was a masterpiece.

Tonight’s ceremony was absolute cringe though.

Anyone esle think the atmosphere was a bit flat considering the occasion? Very few singing around me. Main noise from the huge stand but other than that there wasn't much else. Was surprised we were so quiet for long spells and it didn't go unnoticed by the palace lot either

I've come to expect that from our fans the past few years. Doesn't help that we've been in a massive rut as well

Question to those that were there.. what was it like people? Did it feel like we can really kick on again?

I thought it was great, there were s few flat spots but that’s to be expected. When the singing got going it was immense, the noise carried beautifully. Palace fans played their part to be fair.

Re the crowd. If they were as nervous as me then no wonder it may have seemed quiet.

Great to be back home! Game wasn’t great but after run of last four/five games I would have taken any form of a win

Well that was a relief. Pretty good performance throughout really, a few sloppy moments but palace didn’t really threaten until it was too late.

Everyone was good but Sissoko was great. Eriksen, Davies and Trippier showed signs of better form. The Belgians were majestic.

We’re off and running at home and many more wins to come this season I think.

Joker of the night, early in the second half behind me asked me to sit down in the south stand. Then when Andros comes on he says to the bloke next to him “Andros Townsend.....did he used to play for spurs?”

I didn’t think it was that bad. It was in keeping with the club’s ‘community focused’ ethos that they’ve been keen to stress in the official communications around the stadium recently.

Okay eriksen scored. Hopefully that’ll kickstart things for him and maybe he’ll start to put some strength in his shots. He could’ve scored 4 today, ffs.

Played well. We’re finally home. Happy about it. But still extremely concerned we’ve bottled top 4. City away is fucking MASSIVE. Cannot lose that game.

We probably will lose away to City in the league. But I think we'll still get top four. The other three teams have tougher fixtures than us.
