So is this just a high energy staring eleven with Lucas and Sissoko there to provide pace for both defending and attacking. Are we hoping to still be in the game with 20 mins to go and then bring in Eriksen, Dele and Son? Am a little baffled by this team

Sissoko. Dier. Dembele. That’s a big boy midfield designed to squeeze life and light. Think they’ll play around us and their wide forwards will annihilate our fbs
Yep physicality won't bother City, their agile and nimble midfield will run rings round those three releasing the wingers to get one on one with our full backs.

That's it then. AC/DC on headphones (level14) and watching through my fingers. Folks, we are going to get creamed. Again.
This game will be lost or won in the players' heads. Yes, they look tired and that is a hugeconcern, but they do have the ability to win this game if they can re-capture their mentality from a few years back. They will have to play out of their minds to beat a more talented Man City team but it is possible, if improbable. Unfortunately, they haven't shown any signs of being able to consistently return to that mindset this year.
...that, or goals scored and conceded.

Son looks exhausted and whatever the cause has been really poor this season, the other two are just back from injury, I don't see what's so baffling.

I hope this XI means we lie compact in formation and aim to beat them on the counter.

I hope.

without wanting to sound like Big Sam.

We have a rather large height advantage over them do we not? Goals from corners.. in the words of Ian Curtis “this is the way, step inside”

I personally like the team. I think poch has picked a team to press them high up the pitch

I guess we will try to sit back and counter attack. Its either that or a wo from Poch with this starting eleven.

Let's hope we're quoting another Joy Division classic afterwards. 'Atmosphere! I love a party with a happy atmosphere'

What's the deal with Aurier. When he was badly off form he kept playing him, this season when he's been fit hes looked good now he doesn't play him and plays trip who's been bad all season !

Anyway this game is a write off, city are just in their own little paid for max stats league
