An unchanged team for the third match in a row. That means there's a 200th Spurs appearance for central defender Toby Alderweireld this afternoon. Congratulations, Toby!

REFEREE: ??????? -- --- Anthony Taylor

TEAM FORM: -- Spurs LWDWW --------- Leicester LWDL
W -- (All Competitions)

Leicester are looking to complete their first league double over us since 1998-99 following their 2-1 victory at the King Power Stadium earlier this season. There have been 28 goals scored in the last six Premier League (PL) between us, at an average of 4.7 per game.

Leicester are win less in their last seven PL away games (D3 L4); its their longest run without a win on the road since a run of 15 between May 2016-Feb 2017. The foxes haven't won their final away league game in any of their last 11 PL campaigns (D3, L8) since beating Blackburn Rovers 4-2 in 1996-97.

Vardie has been directly involved in eight goals in his last nine PL games against us (5 goals, 3 assists), with four of his five goals against us coming away from home.

We have lost just one of our last eight home league games against Leicester (W5 D2), losing 0-1 at White Hart lane in January 2016. We are looking to secure four consecutive home league wins for the first time at our new home. We last did so in the PL in December 2018, at Wembley.

Just 5 of the 46 PL goals we have conceded this season have come from a set piece situation (excluding penalties), the lowest ratio in the division (11%). Kane has scored 14 goals in 13 games against Leicester in all competitions, more than he has scored against any other opponent in his career. Son has been involved in nine games in his last 10 PL games (6 goals, 3 assists). He been involved in half of Spurs 10 league goals since the restart (2 goals, 3 Assists).

Considering we nearly beat them at their peak this season, we definitely should be beating them without their 3 best defenders, without their most creative player, and in stuttering form.

All of the above taken in to account we all know what will happen. :LOL:

Thanks for the thread as always Bulletspur.

Should be a good game this one. They have a good midfield and forward line so should attack. Hopefully will give us some space to play further forward. Harry likes a goal against this lot so a nice Kane hatrick to finish off the season at home.

Four home league wins to end the season will be good. Ready for next season.

This needs to be a morale win. I know we’re playing for Europa, but more so this is a morale win. To string a long a bunch of victories at the end of the season (albeit this has had different circumstances; and other than CL run), we haven’t performed well at the end of the season the past few years.

Maybe Vardy will need a rest and won't play? Nah, we can't get that lucky.

Vardy will score but we will win.

Win is vital in this one, looking like Arsenal getting FA Cup final so we need to win all our games to secure 6th place, still wouldn't put it past Chelsea to roll over for Wolves on the last day though. :banghead:

Don't think so, they still can finish outside the top 4.

Really want us to beat this lot. Love messing up their CL ambitions. Didn't them and Chelsea try it with us in our two title run seasons.

A win to keep momentum going and fuck them over. Hate Vardy video where he watching at home whilst we played Chelsea that season

Well I'm way more confident than I was last week. That said I'm still a bit wary.

Leicester have been a bit up and down hard to know which team will turn up.

Leicester's form from August- 8th December;
W 12, D 2, L 2
Points = 38 (out of possible 48)
Title winning form

Leicester's form since December 9th;
W 6, D 6, L 8
Points = 24 (out of possible 60)

When we played them and they got the benefit of that VAR decision they'd had a decent start, not spectacular, just decent (W 2, D 2, L1). Whereas I think we were relatively similar.

Since then, and including that result, they won 10 out of their next 11 games, only losing to run away leaders Liverpool.

I think it's fair to say that result against us buoyed them on and gave them a ton of confidence, and it only really happened because of that VAR decision.

Yet once that energy had worn off, their form has been nothing but midtable like. The majority of wins coming at home and against teams that would usually be lower than them.

They've also been beaten by Burnley, Southampton, Norwich and Bournemouth so it's not like they came up against the bigger teams and found it to difficult. They've just retorted back to typical form.

So when people say, Leicester are better than us, or that they are bigger than us I find it really hard to accept.

I'm not saying we'll win today or that we have a defined right to beat them but since Jose came in we have been much closer to form that represents the true ability of our team, whereas Leicester have returned to something more normal for them. And they were clearly energised from that win earlier in the season which would have given them great confidence and we all know Brendan is a good coach under those circumstances.

It won't be easy, and let's hope VAR is on our side today

Obviously I want us to beat them today but I really hope they beat United next week, I don’t want both Chelsea and United in the CL. One of them has to join us in Europa League so others can also laugh at them and not only us

Jose can’t talk about fatigue and players being tired when he plays the same team every game. How is Bergwijn not starting??
