We’ve been here before- I’d say the signs are irreversible. It’s probably a case of who is the best candidate for the job now. I wish it hadn’t come to this but weathered fans know when things are falling apart. We need a new centre because right now we’re as assured as turds in a riptide

Lloris can’t play this system
Full backs are not good enough and definitely can’t play with no DM or wingers to protect
CD aren’t as good as they were and can’t defend the flanks, especially in this formation
Winks cannot play CDM
Ndombele looks talented but apparently not ready to boss 90 mins
Sissoko does what he does well but is limited
Dele isn’t doing what he used to do in performance or role
Son is a threat but fades in and out in this system
Eriksen - well we all know
Lamela is in and out
Moura the same
Kane is getting no service from open play

What the **** is going on

Kovac didn't change anything of significance. The only difference in the game was that they buried half chances and shots outside the box and we flubbed great chances to score.
Swapping in Thiago for Kimmich was a big change. Thiago is very good at moving and holding the ball in the centre of the pitch. He’s a much more creative passers and it his passing really made there counters much more effective. Even if it was a force change due to Alaba, they were much more composed second half. They also slowed the game down a lot when in possession which we never do when we are winning.

I'm as upset as you mate but that is so far from the worst performance ever by a spurs team.

We didn't "play" badly, a very good team exposed the same issues we have had for the last 9 months. We dont have a defensive midfield player and so just cannot defend.
We do, his name is Eric dier

Personally I don’t think Jan and Toby (one goal aside) did that much wrong tonight. They were badly let down by our dreadful fullbacks and invisible holding midfielder.

In terms of their contractual situations...Toby very evidently wants to stay. If you do go to games, you’d notice he’s often the last to head back to the dressing room after applauding the fans...and Jan needs no explaining. Poch must have a VERY good reason to put him on his shit list.

I wholeheartedly disagree. Toby and Verts were partly or wholly to blame for a couple of the goals and especially Vert has looked really cumbersome all season long.

So You would rather we lose 7 2 at home in a CL match than 1 0 win and with a trophy...

I don't like mourinho but I think him or Alledri will at this moment in time be better for us.
I think Poch has lost it.
His comments post CL final and tactics are not called for and has hit him hard now.
He's lost the dressing room imo
Love Poch and he deserves a bit longer but the way he plays around with tactics, the non-comittal, the atrocious form, the persistence of the diamond, the inability to prevent us from facing millions of shots, his negativity in the summer. All of this has been building and building and now he's trying to dig us out of it but I'm not sure he knows how other than have a complete overhaul.

Which leads to 2 issues:

1. The outlay of spenditure will be in excess of 200m.
2. The amount of time it would take to do this could set us back a couple of years.

We weren't promised this when we moved into the stadium.

It's dilemma time for Levy

We do, his name is Eric dier

Dier was at the heart of our team during our greatest period but apparently now he is completely beneath our current 11.

Not only is he probably our most positional adept player but he always strikes me as one of the strongest mentally.

Ex pros can see that this team needs a DM to protect our defence yet poch doesnt seem concerned. I feel bad for winks because he is being asked to play in a position that does not suit his play.

It needs to be:

-----------DM---------

Ndombele--------winks
