Wow. JJ not even in the 16. If he has been dropped, that's hardcore from Juande. However, Jenas does seem to have taken a lot of nasty kicks in recent games, so I'm sure he's carrying some injuries.

I am a tad disappointed that a potential game changer like Taarabt hasn't found a place on the bench. Especially given how bold Don Juande can be with his substitutions.

5 live just said they "think" Jenas must be injured, but he may have been rested. I can't see him being dropped, when the Zokora Hudd partnership is so unsuccessful.

They must be resting Jenas, as they tend to do with King - both players carrying knocks or recovering from knocks. There is no pressure to play these players ans it's a good opportunity to hone players who may contribute next season.

I would like to see Bent given a run now as we know Berby and Keano are first choice. But DB can raise his personal bar to step up for when Berby leaves at the end of the season.

Agreed. I think we need to start giving Bent half a game at least until the end of the season to try and restore a bit of sharpness.

Jenas form has dipped dramatically since the knock he took in the first leg against PSV and may have been rushed back to play the second leg and hasn't really looked up to pace since, so he is now getting a well deserved rest.

That's a weak Pompey team. No Campbell, Muntari, Diop, Diarra, Defoe, Lauren, Pamarot. We should win comfortably, though you never know with us.

I agree. Juande may also think that, on current form, Hud offers more creativity from CM than JJ.

I'm sure that, at full time today, Big Tom will have a much lower pass completion statistic than Zokora But then he will at least be trying to pass the ball forwards, unlocking the Pompey defence in the process...

Good win and good changes from Ramos to influence the outcome.

The changes worked even if the first goal was a bunch of slop. We dominated the game. We still lack the final ball, which we'll probably address in the summer, but it was good to see us win.

Great to see Bent have the impact today.

Played well and deserved the 3 points today.

We looked comfortable for a large part of the game. We were the only team who wanted to win the game, and it paid off.

Solid performance.
