They deserved it on the balance of the whole match...and clear cut chances created.

We look off the pace, rusty and sluggish - its the start of our pre season really, lets not over react here.

The rest have proved themselves at various points of the ast few seasons. He hasnt. One pass of note from a central midfielder should not provide the basis for your defence.

lol some of you lot are complete muppets, it was the first pre season match , players have to get back into full fitness and get the touch and control back as well. Plus if anyone paid some attention you could clearly see some players were knackered by the end and didnt have much left , mainly jenas and benny.

i know its only the first game of pre-season but i think we learnt what we already knew

1. VDV cant play as one of the midfielders in a 442
2. Lennon saves going outside the full back for special occasions
3. Pav has the control of a brick wall
4. Crouch has the power of a fly
5. Bale is awesome
