We should TRY and buy Artur Boruc from Celtic. I think he is being spoken about as a replacement at Real, but we could try.

No thanks. As someone previously said his command of the area is poor and the goal he conceded against Barnsley shows hes a complete wimp with no bottle.
If we are going to replace Robinson id like to see Cerny stay as no.2. No idea who we would get as no.1 though as i dont know enough about keepers outside the premiership to comment.

Boruc has always impressed me, but he's just signed a new deal I believe. Him and Neuer have been the best keepers I've seen this year.
But as I mentioned in the War Chest thread if I could have any new goalkeeping 'department' it would be Van Der Sar as senior gloveman and coach to younger, number 2 and imminent replacement (once ready) Stekelenburg.

If people on here are complaining about Robbo failing to hold on to shots, they'd better get ready for a whole lot more moaning about Stekelenburg.
It has looked for quite a long while now globally there are not that many reliable goalies the likes of Jennings, Shilton and Clem.
Could be because of the lighter floating ball these days and the general demise of the old English game of crossing high into the box from the byeline with a big fella charging in. Hence goalies are not as adept in dealing with crosses.
