Harry was always going to be asked a question, even Mourinho has commented ffs.

Its no big deal anyway, he hasn't said anything wide of the mark anyway.

Is there any other manager that comments on their previous team as much as him?

I mean seriously, does anyone see Moyes constantly commenting on Everton? Martinez discussing everything Wigan? Mancini constantly harping on about Man City?

Am I just missing all those other managers giving these kind of interviews?

I've moved on from Harry as should every Spurs fan.

He is our past and we should be happy with getting into the CL with him as manager but, continually going back to the past only prevents us from moving forward.

Just seen a video clip of BAE's recent man of the match performance for QPR against Charlton, we're talking seriously sexy football. I've always liked the idea of AVB and thought that we would move up a level with him and still have (some) faith that he will transpire to be the right man for our future, but I have to say that I am beginning to reminisce about the Harry era.
OK but did you watch him against Reading (I think it was Reading), didn't make me feel he was with the biz. Made a couple of basic errors against a better team than Charlton, so not sure about PL credentials now. And to be honest he isn't much bothered really where he plays.

To be fair to Harry, he's usually bigging us up and slagging off the scum so fair play. I wasn't his biggest fan but he's not like the other mugs in the media that slag us off at every opportunity. Jamie is one.

i heard him on talkshite this morning and he was ok. he could really have stuck the knife in but i make him right about the team looking like strangers.

we cant link defence to midfield or midfield to attack. we dont have the correct 3 players to play behind a lone striker apart from lamela at rwf where avb never plays him and we dont even have the right striker to play ahead of the 3 either. he did chirp up about his boy defoe again but jd is as good as one of the redknapp family.

Capoue has the ability to link defence and midfield, Vlad looks a great ball playing cb
Eriksen, Eric lamela, towsend/Lennon behind adebayor has a lot going for it.

I think we bought the correct players...mostly (soldado) it's just not settled for various reasons

If the media ask him questions he'll just answer them, it's always been the same. I can't recall him many times talking about Spurs to be honest

He has always said he loved his time at Spurs and loved the fans (especially after his trip to court and the reaction he got afterwards)

I disagree with him that we've signed too many similar players, although none of them have impressed an awful lot I think it's more tactics that are an issue.

Harry Redknapp did not throw away third place. The players did.

We lost Ledley King and Sandro and it all went down hill after that.

It's not even a Daily Fail article. The idiots have just listened to his Talkshite interview this morning and copied it word for word. I heard it and thought he was very honest about us. He didn't knock us, he didn't knock AVB, he didn't say he could do better, he even said that he thought we would have finished above The gypsies this year and are surprised to see that they are top.

He's said nothing wrong here, and only spoke about Spurs because Alan Brazil asked him after talking about QPR

Harry could say that AVB is a triffic bloke who will bring success to Spurs in the future, and people would still say it was part of some machiavellian mind game.

I remember Harry praising Spurs last season, and people were saying he was just trying to heap the pressure on AVB! It's just weird. He's had more than enough opportunities to stick the boot in, and to date he's been nothing but respectful.

I know dude, it's mental.

I don't want to bring up the Harry debate again because it's been done to death, but I really wish people could appreciate what he did for us, because we sure as shit ain't getting those times back any time soon

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ke-bunch-strangers-claims-Harry-Redknapp.html

Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has claimed his old side looked like a 'bunch of strangers' in their 6-0 defeat at Manchester City and says they are struggling without Gareth Bale.

Redknapp's replacement Andre Villas-Boas is under mounting boardroom pressure at White Hart Lane after successive defeats in the Barclays Premier League with some of his squad furious at the Portuguese after claiming they should be 'ashamed' of their display at the Etihad.

Spurs spent £107million in the summer bringing in a collection of players after Gareth Bale was sold to Real Madrid for a world record fee of £86m in August.

But Redknapp, who was sacked by Spurs after guiding them to fourth in the League in 2012, reckons his former side are lacking Bale's influence and fears they won't be able to replace the Wales international.

'For the first time, Tottenham did look like a bunch of strangers on Sunday,' said Redknapp. 'They have got lots of attacking players. They have almost become overloaded with the same type of player.

'In the past, when they had Gareth Bale, he was such a fantastic talent that he would pull them out of trouble.

'There were lots of games where there were two minutes to go and suddenly a bit of magic from Gareth Bale and three points were in the bag. Well, they have lost that magic now.

'He was special. It has been difficult to replace him and that is a big problem for them.' Redknapp, who was speaking to talkSPORT, reckons Tottenham however, can bounce back when they host Manchester United on Saturday.

'Tottenham will pick up. They have got a great game this weekend', added the Queens Park Rangers boss. 'If I was managing Tottenham, I would be happier playing Man United than I would Stoke.

'It's a game where Tottenham can have a real go. I'd rather have that than a game playing a team that you are expected to win against and it goes wrong again.'

Understandable from the man that thought VDV and Suarez were similar types of player I guess. Amazing that he'd "prefer to be playing ManU", seeing as he never managed to beat them once, and his record against the top sides is worse than AVB's.

His QPR are the lowest scoring team in the top half of the Championship. Wonder if it's because he has too many of the same type ?

Wanker.

The Begovic story was a typical 'Arry pub recital too. Nearly crashed the car trying to guffaw at the punchline.
