Sonny signs new four-year deal

We are delighted to announce that Heung-Min Son has signed a new four-year contract with the Club, which will run until 2025.
The South Korea captain, 29, has scored 107 goals and claimed 64 assists in 280 appearances in all competitions since joining us from Bayer Leverkusen in August, 2015.

Could be the best business we do all summer. Congrats to him and the club. Brilliant player, phenomenal numbers, one the the world's best.

I'm quick enough to criticize the club for the slackness that brought about two wasted years of regression. But I should also be quick to praise them when they nail it.

It may not be the top story when other shiny new names come through the door. But this is very significant and a huge coup for us. He could have gone almost anywhere if he wanted out. Great stuff to remove uncertainty and have a top player commit his peak years to us.
