The more time I spend away from the top table the more I like about sport. The ladies football, coaching Gaelic football to kids, even Welcome to Wrexham on the telly. It’s escapism. That’s what it should be.

Yeah I've been playing 8 a side for a veterans team twice a week for getting on 16 months now, and that has really reconnected me with the game again. I haven't been to N17 for a year and the idea of going all that way for a largely unsatisfactory experience, regardless of results, just makes me feel tired.
