Brilliant or hilarious?

I know he is injury prone but I can't actually remember how good a footballer he is. Seems like a weird solution anyway.

What are your thoughts, should we try and hi-jack the deal?

I seem to remember a few years back (four seasons perhaps) Silvestre was a cracking player for Man Utd. I think he was playing RB for them at that point.

I think his injuries haven't helped him in recent years.

Can't see Sir Alex strengthening his rival though.

Never convinces me as a centre back, looks like he is a second away from a cock up.

But 750k, for a player of his experience, not bad business.

Re Silvestre:

---------------------------

Another surprise for Arsenal's fans is that Wenger does not regard the former Internazionale defender merely as a squad player, or as a back-up for Gaël Clichy at left-back, but as a first-choice centre-half alongside William Gallas, primarily as a replacement for Philippe Senderos.

Has someone forgotten about Toure? Or has Wenger lost the plot?

mmm a CB who can play LB - looks like the type of player we need - of course I have no idea re his fitness levels etc - so i'm not going to say we should have bought him - it will be interesting to check his progress tho

Man U clearly don't see Arsenal as any sort of threat this year then.

 - look like I was wrong

During the England game on Setanta, they said this was the first time for 20 odd years that a player has moved between the two clubs

Until Rio got suspended for forgetting he had a drugs test.
