Seriously, he deserves credit for introducing Bentaleb. But a couple of swallows maketh not a summer though. Why was Carroll not retrieved ? Why have we not used Veljkovic, why was Smith sold and Fredericks sent out on loan (on Sherwood's watch) instead of the ordinary Naughton kept as back up and played in Walker's absence ? Isn't that a case of Sherwood doing exactly what he's accusing others of ?

How much more game time could Carroll realistically been given? probably not more than he is getting at QPR.

Smith, we don't know who makes these decisions, i would have thought both Ramsey and Mcdermott would be in on it, lad looked good to us all from the outside, strange decision but perhaps he just hadn't developed, if he gets picked up by a better team then i guess we will know the answer and we got it wrong.

I agree with you on Fredericks but i can see why Naughton was used and Fredericks was loaned out, more game time for him at this stage should take priority, although i hope we sell Naughton and promote Fredericks in the summer.

Regards Veljkovic, kind of glad we haven't introduced him into that back four, the poor lad would be scarred for life playing with some of the existing fuck wits.

Whatever your feelings about Danny Rose we had Benny at left back last season so he wouldnt really have got a look in. Likewise for Andros Townsend. He was never going to get in the team ahead of Bale or Lennon.

I might be paranoid about Tim but it seems he can't speak without his digs at Andre or is it he just doesn't think about what he is saying?

I despair,there isn't one single sentence in that interview that even vaguely looks like Sherwood is having a dig at anyone let alone our ex-manager.

On the flip side, I'm pretty sure AVB gave Townsend much more game time than Sherwood has, favouring an inept Lennon week after week, so it's very much a case of glass houses.

Yeah but as AVB had already brought Townsend into the side playing him wouldn't prove anything in Sherwood's favour...so no need to bother from his perspective. I'm that cynical about his decisions unfortunately.

Why are you going out of your way to discredit Lennon's influence in those 4 goals? I don't understand, it's rather strange when surely you should be happy that he had that influence.

I think the article is less of Sherwood having a dig at AVB than sending a message to Levy that he (Sherwood) will bring though youth players and save the club money whereas anybody who replaces him will want to spend again.

No it isn't a fact because lumping the ball to no-one in particular is not a pass. And it wasn't 4, it was 3. And I'm going out of my way to discredit it because it's a bogus attempt at crediting Lennon with more credit than he deserves, and it is also countered by the fact that he has not assisted or "last passed" for the majority of the previous 20 appearances.

Honest question, has he ever picked Dawson on XI when there has been alternative (other than Fryers, would probably now take Fryers too) available? Only game I can think of is Everton and even then Kaboul was just back from lenghty injury to the bench. Others?

This is not a dig at AVB... But whatever, everything Sherwood does is to damage our club or have a go at our beloved ex-manager. Alot of you are turning into crazy people, do you not see it yourselfs? "OMG SHERWOOD SAID THAT SOME U21 PLAYERS DESERVES A CHANCE IN THE FIRST TEAM, IS IT A DIG AT AVB?!?!!?!?!?".

If anything he is having a dig at Levy/Baldini for signing 7 players while we have talent in the academy who could have done the job. If Bentaleb or Carroll were given lets say Paulinhos place would they have done much worse? I don't think so. Perhaps that 17 million could have been used to buying a top quality left back (something we do not have in our squad or youth ranks)? Perhaps we should have kept Caulker and sold Kaboul/Dawson who is and will always be prone to injury, Caulker is in my opinion at least better than Dawson and probably Kaboul aswell since he haven't been great since returning from his countless injuries, or just kept him as an option in the squad?

Even though alot of you for some reason hate Sherwood to your very core I think what he is saying in this article is very sane.
