It's a tough one, no doubt about that. I'm greedy so I would like both (right personality and good CV) but we're spurs so I appreciate the pool from which we can choose is somewhat limited.

Poyet is an interesting one, did great work at Brighton and obviously has ties to the club. I think I would pass but he'd be worth interviewing, if we haven't already I suppose.

Besides playing here, Poyet has also seen what's it like at WHL during the crisis and probably seen what doesn't work being here as an assistant under Ramos. I think that could be bit of bonus too.

Sandro and Dembele were both on the bench and fit enough to play.

Both were coming back from injuries and as Dembele got injured again after being brought in, it's debatable wether he was fit to feature to begin with. Seems like that was bigger mistake to me, I think we would've lost anyway so playing Dembele and getting him back to treatment table was the big mistake.

In regards to Klopp, I think Ferguson is an interesting analogy.

Despite massively overachieving with Aberdeen, it took Ferguson a couple of years to get everything in order at United. Don't think he would have been given that much time and patience in this day and age.

If Levy was in charge of Utd back in the day Fergie would have been sacked by xmas in his second season

That's a good point actually. He'd also know that, if he was to be our next manager, he'd have to accept working under a chairman that sells our best players every year.

FDB is used to that at Ajax I suppose

True - just wanted to point out recent appointment on big club that 1) had no experience beyond youth setup and 2) got beaten up with was it 7-1 on youth level by Sherwood.

I think whatever records they have in youth levels is irrelevant. Either way Strama shouldn't have been given the job and the same applies to Sherwood.

Could be, though Milan have been 3rd best since he took the job, so there's hardly guarantee there. And if decent or at least existing playing career is necessary, why we hired AVB in the first place?

I was just making the point that at least Seedorf could command the respect of his players simply by being the big name that he is.

Does it really come down to what players are fit or injured!? We have a fit Sandro either not making the squad or sitting on the bench while headless Chadli is wondering around in the middle of the park. To top it off we was hanging on for 40 mins against 10 man Stoke and Timmy brings on Sig!

Want a list of how those have been available throughout spring?

Anyway that back 5 seems to get into lineup when fully fit. Chadli & Paulinho seem to feature at the moment, Lamela has been injured practically whole Tim reing (did play on every PL game to begin with though, either on XI or as a sub), Eriksen has been ever present par that period on with back problems. Sandro who was out for whole beginning of Tim era featured in every game since coming back from injury (Dnipro, Cardiff, Chelsea, Benfica, Arsenal, Benfica) before getting calf injury. Though now yet to feature after coming back from that injury. Soldado is the one that has had his opportunities, played two on the trot before his injury, but on that injury Kane started to net them in and Ade has 10 goals and 4 assists on PL despite coming to frame around christmas.

Townsend ---------- Soldado ---------- Kane-----

Eriksen ---------- Paulinho
Capoue

Or

Andros ---------- Ade ---------- Kane

Eriksen ---------- Dembele
Paulinho

Seriously, how many more balanced and dynamic formations, which are far far better than the shit Sherwood comes out with do you want me to produce, to prove my point over and over again?

Dembele & Capoue are unavailabe, latter has been for two months (now back in training according news) and former seems to find himself on the treatment table ever so often. Personally agree with Sherwood on Townsend.

Completely missing the point and it has flown way way way over your head.

Missing out posting formations saying this would work wonders?

Anyway as stated, look out through spring who has been available and when and who has been completely unavailable or on bench just returning from injury (or being suspect of injury like Eriksen when he was on bench and it was later confirmed when it was time for internationals that he had had back problems).

Funny enough, I did most weeks in the team against threads, still far far better balanced than the shit we are putting out now.

Doesn't mean your formations would've brought in points on similar standard.
Ermmmmmm

Taking a guess, but putting out a team with a bit of back bone, protection for the self imploding defence whilst freeing up the creative players to be more creative, actually getting proper support and supply for Soldado (not leaving him so f-ing isolated) and playing players to their more suited positions and style of play they are used too.

Not having an invisible Lennon playing regularly......

I would fancy my chances :)

But it isn't a computer game and we don't know actual fitness levels of players, what's their attitude been like, what are the group dynamics and so on. Anyway as it was results on similar standard, perhaps we should just save the money and hire SC member?

Oh, and Soldado was isolated mainly at autumn and had pretty much no ball played to him, he has been much more involved since.
