I've seen so many threads started after a loss or a poor win and they've all been knee-jerk threads. I have to say hand on heart, I really don't see this thread as knee-jerk. Tim thinks he's still managing the kids as the bench proved today. He knows nothing about the players in the squad (his line up and subs prove this) We've seen other managers take over teams and just by having basic knowledge get the team playing good football (Martinez for example). You don't have to know these players personally as long as you know what position they play in. TS must have seen the team play and positions the players occupy. He must have had a conversation with Freud with regards to the players and their best positions when he took over......................actually he may well have not done that because he seems a cocky cnut.

We the fans can see that the lineup wasn't going to work. How the hell could TS not see that?

It's always been a roller coaster supporting Spurs but this is a whole new pain and I'm afraid this might just be the start. We're a laughing stock throughout europe, and when you have W'Brom fans signing "CL you're having a laugh" wait until we play the other teams fight for that 4th spot.

I dunno. Who do you get as an interim though, it was Sherwood or Hoddle. Not a good choice.

I'm pretty relaxed now to be fair. Our season was over the moment AVB decided he wasn't cut out for it and walked out ... erm sorry, meant was sacked... :shifty: ... Hopefully Tim and Co. can steer the ship to some kind of respectable finish to quell an exodus by the likes of Vertonghen and Lloris and leave a new manager, well picked by Levy we hope (and where I will be judging him), a decent enough squad at his disposal.
Maybe I'm psychic or summat but I really don't think the first name on Daniel's mind to replace AVB for the rest of the season was Tim Sherwood. Why not just make an immediate announcement otherwise.

Nah, maybe he got a nasty shock at the responses he was getting.

Again, I don't blame TS for this. I wish him every success but remain doubtful. Big gamble by DL this.

Fuck him, in short. Fuuuuuuuuuuurk him!

You do know the messiah of exciting football HR the last time THFC ever played beautiful exciting football, that guy your always referring back to the one whos tenure your always harking back to like the good old days left us in relegation form at the back end of his last season here.

Actually he didn't. His points per game from last 8 was 1,75.

And went a quarter of a season picking up about a pt a game just before that. H should feel lucky he made until the summer looking back on it. DL is far less forgiving these days.

In defence of Sherwood

We cannot fully assess his tactics or style when for his first 2 Premier League games he hasn't had available-

Lennon and Townsend for the speedster route (he may like to play both/ one or none but we cannot tell currently)

Sandro, Paulinho, Dembele (injury for second game) or Capoue (still coming back from fitness) so we don't know if he would play 1,2 or 3 of these more combative players.

Kaboul and Verts (this may dictate how the midfield would look if he had more confidence in back line)

All these injuries together may mean when the majority are back he goes 433, 4231 or 442. We cannot tell his long term plan when he has only had 2 games and has this injury list.

2 games is always too early to tell, 2 games with the lack of players above, for me means I am happy to give him time to show his tactical acumen. If, when most are back he continues out of choice to play Eriksen and Holtby as a cm 2 (and it doesn't work) then we can question him. Currently is he trying to make the most of a disjointed availability list?

With Glenn's experience he pisses all over TS

He's sacked him once though already, and the guy hasn't managed since 2006, that's a hell of a long time for a football manager. There isn't much in it really in my opinion.

Yes, 2 games in, it is slightly unfair to have so much opprobrium lobbed in Tim's direction. But fuck it, why wait. Let's follow the chairman's lead and fire him already. Also, before the new guy has his press conference, fire him.

Just to send the message loud and clear.

I'll await for our result against Manure this season to draw my conclusions about Mr Gooner "bleeding blue & white if we cut him in half...."

Well, looking at your posts I'm not sure which result you're rooting for.

Levy' plan is working perfectly. He fucked up here. Found out he didn't shit chocolate and has his latest little sacrificial lamb already being pelted with stones after just 2 games.

Canny bastard.
