Terrible refereeing for the penalty. This fixture is never without controversy it seems.
sadly, I stopped watching serie a matches a few years ago,... especialy with all the constant match fixing problems/scandals. just me I suppose, I used to like watching, but the slowd pace of the majority of games and doubt as to actual competition really was too much. not to mention the "occsional" diving and writhing on the ground as if poleaxed :mask:

I think the pace has picked up a little in the last couple of years but still a few teams that employ very negative tactics. As for diving and writhing, it's commonplace in many leagues now.

For me the scandals have killed the sport in Italy. They're still going on now but with different clubs, even lower league teams involved. Plus the poor attendances weaken the atmosphere. I fully understand why Germany got a 4th CL spot in place of Italy's.

At least the national side has been good recently.

For those interested the Milan derby has recently started on ESPN. Haven't watched a lot of Inter this season so I'm taking a good look at our Europa League opposition.

Brilliant save from Handanovic.

He's a very good keeper and I worry that he'll be a big difference for them in our games. Inter are quite poor defensively from the looks of it, especially down their right, which should suit us very well. Their strikers don't look like they like to track back and help the team out, so if we press them we should do well.

Him and Guarin are the main threats, also Stramaccioni is proving to be very poor tactically.

Their strikers offer no real threat because their not that good and because they have no real creativity in midfield.

Inter dug in well for the draw. Thought they were going to get blown away by Milan at one point

Looks like Napoli are going to waste another opportunity to close the gap.

Totti is now the joint second all time top scorer in Seria A with 225 goals, amazing achievement for a No. 10

Palermo have confirmed they have parted company with coach Gian Piero Gasperini, just two games into the coach's latest stint at the club.

Gasperini was re-appointed as the Serie A bottom club's boss at the end of last month, replacing Alberto Malesani, who himself had only been at the helm for 19 days.

However, following a 0-0 draw with Torino and a 2-1 defeat to Siena on Sunday, club president Maurizio Zamparini has decided once more to part ways with the 55-year-old.

A statement on the club's official website read: "After a meeting between the board of directors, Giorgio Perinetti and Gian Piero Gasperini, Palermo announces that it has reached an agreement with the coach for the consentual termination of his contract."

Gasperini's previous spell at the club only ended on February 4th this year, before Malesani was placed in charge for less than three weeks.

Early reports in Italy suggest Giuseppe Sannino, who was sacked by Zamparini in September last year, could be recalled to replace Gasperini at the helm. He would become the 27th managerial appointment at the club since 2002.

Cavani has scored two tonight, he now has 100 for Napoli.

Maradona is only 16 goals away, will he stay one more season and become the all time record scorer?

Palermo's president makes Roman look like an amateur with his chopping & changing!

The only downer on today was Pogba getting sent off for spitting, stupid thing to do especially as he was doing really well in the match. With Llorente already incoming and some more signings seemingly planned it looks like Juve won't be slowing down any time soon either.

It would really be a testament to his character if he did. Alas, I think the lure of big money may draw him away.

Pogba was very stupid today for his sending off. He's a kid and hopefully he'll learn, I'm sure the club will give him a bollocking for it. He's an excellent talent and a real gem for the future. I like that Juve have grabbed Llorente for next season, I really hope he thrives in Italy, he has the right qualities to do so. If they get another big player up front they could be looking to do a lot better than a quarter final finish in the CL next year.

Higuain would be brilliant and it seems like we are after him. Not sure whether or not Juve can afford him though

If they shift some of the masses of deadwood then they probably could. Ziegler, Motta, Jorge Martinez and Melo are still on the books and need to be gotten shot of. Iaquinta's contract finally expires too, and his contract is supposedly massive.

Gonzo is needed far more at WHL though, hope he comes!

Forgot he was still in the ranks! My god, what an absolutely spectacular waste of money.
