As I understand the last night shuffle once all the hustle died down: during the PSG game one of the commentators/journalists mentioned multiple times having been told by Aurier that he would be joining Spurs for 23m and unveiled in the next few days.

SkySports this morning reported 23million pounds, not euros.

The only thing that slightly worries me is the force of which he goes into tackles, but this guy looks like a beast and basically a like-for-like replacement for Walker. Bring it over the line.

Yeah I saw that United video and he does fling himself in. I think all but one of the ones I saw he pulled off though so maybe he's just really bloody good at it.

But PSG had, after his conviction, applied for French Citizenship for him (which was reported in France at the time). So we don't know how far down the road this has/had gone.

If he was granted the French passport then the conviction wouldn't have mattered as long as it was suspended

The link above says that Aurier told a journalist that his transfer to Spurs was "practically done".

I like that you ordered your ORs in level of increasing optimism.

An important attribute this guy has is that in every single clip I've seen him in he comes across like he's playing for his life. Total commitment, total aggression and positive purpose. Can see why that's very attractive to poch.

It's also very infectious on the field. That extra endeavour and commitment that he - along with sanchez - would bring, would take us up another notch in this regard.

Pace, power, aggression. So key in this league.

201 pages and we still haven't signed Barkley ! Anybody know what the pages record is for a player ? We should have got it done as soon as he was ready to train again after the first injury he suffered, think it was late July early August when he came back. I really hope this one does not slip away.
