There is bound to be seats available to members etc in the south stand. The club wouldn't have made every seat available to season ticket holders.
Why not? Keeps the ST holders happier, probably a better chance of an atmosphere if it's the same people around you every week, and from the club's perspective members will of course be more than welcome to take advantage of the Ticket Exchange for a small premium over face value!

I did have a theory that the club would cherry pick the odd seat in the south stand during sales phases to then release them to members on a game per game basis, but I guess we won't know until next season.

That kind of assumes that all the non 1882 seats in the South sand were made available to ST holders. I suspect the club kept quite a few off the market so that members and general sale can get seats in there too.

Dunno. There's an island of seats with steps either side. The steps to the left of the seat block (as you look at the image) are not on the original plans.

I'm sure at the start all the seats were blue but a few phases ago I'm sure a load of seats went grey which was very disproportionate to a single phase going on sale so not sure if the club took some off then.

I might be talking balls but I think theyve tried to hide what is being held back for GA within the phases. I think if popular areas were greyed out from the start people would be pissed off that GA were getting better seats that season ticket holders.

Managed to get a reasonable spot though would have preferred to be on the goalie or sides but a good view I hope from the south stand, block 514 row 4

Ive just noticed this following statement seems to apply to the seat I've reserved

"If you purchase a Season Ticket in these areas on Level 4 or 5 your seat may not be available to purchase for domestic cup matches if the visiting team take up their full ticket allocation. In such situations a Season Ticket Holder would have the ability to purchase an alternative seat for the cup fixture elsewhere in the stadium. "

Bit annoyed at my oversight,

Being lazy and asking here instead of looking - once my seat is reserved and I pay my £50, when is the final date to pay the balance?
I go on holiday for 2 weeks on Thursday. Don't want to be trying to pay on my phone from Turks and Caicos.

Look on the bright side. Gives you a good excuse to try out other parts of the ground on the odd occasion. See what the posh seats are like for a game when it might just be £20 across the stadium anyway etc.

I spoke to one of the staff members on the club ticket line and I feel confused by the information she gave. She seemed to be saying that with each block being separated by stairs. Those seats in 112 nearest to block 113 would potentially be affected by opposing fan seat allocations in domestic cup competitions. Whilst those on the side of block 112 which is nearer to block 111 wouldn't be.

Thats true. I'm finding the whole thing a bit confusing if I'm honest.

Just called the hotline back, and the operator clarified if the away fans took up entire allocation of seats. The entire 112 block would be relocated, she confirm that an alternative seat would definitely be made available which is assuring to know.

Where are the away fans by the way?

Theyre in the NE corner lower level normally. In cup games they could overspill into half the upper level of the North stand

For Premier League matches (3,000 allocation) it's blocks 114-117 in the lower north-eastcorner. For European matches (5%/~3103 allocation) they'll have a couple of columns in 113 as well. For the League Cup (10%/~6206 allocation) it looks like they'll roughly also get block 113 and blocks 420-424 (Middle Tier above the normal away area). For the FA Cup (15%/9309 allocation) they'll also get blocks 515 to 519 (Upper Tier above the normal away area).

It’s the lower North East corner and I think they get block 118 in the East Lower too.

Block 113 has been greyed out since the beginning I think, almost certainly to do with segregation. I imagine they’ll be sold as and when in GA depending on the take up of away fans.

Sorry but yeah it’s only a certain section that might be moved ( for domestic cup games only). It was all clearly marked on the interactive map thing.

Oh FFS. Now I'm effing furious.

I'm not going to tag the poster, embrass them or cause an argument but I just agreed to spend £1,200 on the basis of that information. People should keep their damn mouths shut if they don't know. Not happy. One. Bit.
