I don’t think it’s really related to any of that. It’s that membership is in no way an indication of wanting to buy a season ticket and never has been.

It makes nice marketing material for shareholders but it’s the same as that infamous survey that said we had a quadrillion fans worldwide which included any person who’d ever heard of us.

I assume the club makes some assumption, like 20% of members might take a season ticket if offered. It’s looking like that number is much smaller though and I bet that terrifies Levy.

Let's hope so. I suspect he is desperate for a return of all fans to the stadium. It is so important to the club in the short term. If nothing else, the prospect of investing some of the projected income into the squad. Although that sounds far to risky for him. I suspect he would prefer the money in the bank first.

The reality is that it is legacy fans that buy ST‘s. A very small minority will come from other areas but generally it’s families with generations of ST and/or very loyal supporters

There has and always been a small hardcore group of people who go to football pretty much come what may

Take the piss or take them for granted once too often and it’s not long before you can be in trouble

Good luck relying on other avenues to pay extortionate amounts of money and turn up come rain or shine etc etc

Before I took up a season ticket at Wembley I remember someone telling all new season ticket holders that it was more of a commitment than you think (was it @Dougal ?).

This is definitely true and it's a big risk for Spurs to forget about the core fans that have proved they have the commitment year after year.

With all the hassle of having a compatible smartphone and all the other nonsense to prove who you are etc , expecting few sub capacity games this season , look at all this stuff below you need a degree in technology just to enter a football ground !!!

What mobile devices are compatible?
Apple:
All Face ID iPhones are supported, as are all Touch ID iPhones with the exception of the iPhone 5s. Digital ticketing is also available on all Apple Watch models.

Android: Phones must run the latest version of Android, where possible. Google Pay must be installed and up to date, and NFC must be enabled.

What if I don’t have a smart phone or compatible device?

If you do not own a smartphone or other suitable device with which to use your digital ticket on a matchday, then we would kindly ask you to contact us within 7 days of the fixture you are due to attend, and no later than 48 hours beforehand.

At that time we will be able to provide you with guidance about an alternative option.

If you have purchased a Premium ticket, please contact your account manager or email

What is NFC , National Football Conference ??? , some of us are not into technology.

Is anyone else in the situation of not having a driving license or passport for the verify my id that the club now require? If so what did you use instead (tried calling the club but no answer yet"!)

Have you tried email , they usually answer even if it is after a few days, from the website looks like just DL or passports .

What forms of ID do you accept?
You will be able to submit either an electronic copy of a valid international passport or UK driving licence photocard (provisional licences are accepted). If you do not have either of these documents, you are welcome to contact us to discuss alternative documentation.

Don't have one of those either! I have no photo id, as, I've had no need for it up to this point in my life!

They will accept a provisional driving licence if you have one of those. I had to do it that way, my passport expired during lockdown & I haven’t got around to renewing it.

Looks like I'll have to resort to email, and see what they'll allow for someone with no photo id!

Not directly on season tickets but does anyone know what is happening to the potential to park at the Irish Centre which has now been closed. I think the site is presently being used as a COVID test centre but presumably Haringey Council who own it will be looking for some income?

Yep, that’s my party line. Friends and family have had two decades or knowing I plan things around the fixture list. My wife does it automatically. It’s easier to take up if you’re young and single, no responsibilities. But it does become a responsibility. If you’re not prepared for that you don’t last long.

It stands for ‘Near Field Communication’. In non tech talk it’s like contactless payment on your credit card but for your phone.

Reason they ask for it is so they can tap you phone against their device and it will see if you have a ticket.

Worked quite smoothly end of last season but isn’t as nice/easy as having a Card and there were lots of people needing to be shown how to find the ticket.

It's impossible with young kids. Mostly it's just not fair on the family to write off a weekend essentially.

From a selfish perspective, the cost, travel, and putting extra burden on the other half looking after the kids (and making it up the next day) is just about worth it if we play well. Otherwise you can have some really miserable weekends.

In tricky position that our 2nd home game (29th Aug) lands on the wife’s 40th birthday so pretty sure I’d be in for a world of pain if I picked the game over her so that ticket will have to go up on the exchange

Thanks but I will use the alternative method of entry that they are talking about whatever that may be. There are bound to be problems , somebodies mobile network will be down or phone battery gives up or there will be a cyber attack the whole scheme is nuts.

I was lucky enough to get my first ever season tick on Wednesday, I have been a one hostspurs+ member for a few years now, does anyone know what happens next as my profile is still showing a waiting list number and I haven’t been sent a link for tickets. I do have confirmation of my season ticket purchase.

I can’t go to the Chelsea game so my tickets will end up on the exchange. That should be a good litmus test as to how successful I will be in getting my money back when I can’t go. No takers and it will be a concern.

I was an existing ST holder and no link for tickets has been sent out so I assume instructions on downloading ticket will be supplied nearer to each game .

Please tell us how it goes as this shouldn't be a problem~ if no sale then the club really have issues

I have received my confirmation of purchase for my season ticket, it’s just my profile still says I’m a one Hotspur + member which seems weird to me

The tickets will be downloaded onto our app before the Man City game, the rest will be updated soon.
