Hey, i've been waiting years for a chance to get a season ticket, saving up and well i might get one not the season coming up but the season after. I wanted to reach out to everybody, and just ask questions, i basically need all the basic info, like prices, waiting times, erm cheapest or best places to get them, how to apply etc. I would be greatful if you help :hello:

the waiting list is about 20,000+ and some people have been on the list 5 years or more.

I'd say you have absolutely no chance until the new stadium is built, unfortunately

they start at £800+. Park lane is the place to be its also one of the cheapest with the paxton lower as well , but when you get one just be happy you got one. prob. you will have wait till the new stadium is completed this could be from 2013 to 2015 first become a member and if you get the most expensive one you may well find yourself going to 15/20 games a season...all I can say is good luck!

its worth the wait, even though thats quiet a while! I dont get to hardly any games, a couple a season max, so this should be good, looks like i better start waiting!

if you're a member you can get tickets for most games anyway so a season ticket isn't really a must

The real advantage of being a season ticket holder is priority in cups. And you are always guaranteed a seat in the big games

Another bonus in having a season ticket and registering in the cup gurantee scheme is that you don't pay a booking fee, which can save you a couple of quid per cup game.

I would want one after I graduate from University, and I'm going to try and gamble so that I get one maybe a year after I leave, I'm doing a four year course starting in september, so i reckon I'll sign up next season, as the new stadium should remove around 10-15k from the waiting list easily.

Question:

Once you reach the front of the ST waiting list and get offered a ST, if you say no then what happens then? Do you stay at the front and wait till the one you want comes up? or if you can't afford it then can you just step aside and get a ST as soon as you can afford one?

I "sit" on the shelf and pay £735, Park Lane and Paxton are cheaper still, so unless you want to sit on the halfway line they will not cost you £800+ as an earlier poster suggested.

It is certainly worth it, being in the same spot each game, getting to know all those who sit around you, meeting up with them before and after games for beers, all adds to the matchday experience IMO.

If you get the chance, do it. I won't be giving mine up anytime soon.

Cheers MattyP.

Its quite odd for me as I may be applying for a ST on my own, that is kinda putting me off doing it.

How well do you know/get along with the people around you? Do you just have the on ST or more?

I know very well about twenty people who sit around me, to the point that we drink together, go to away games together, have met up in Europe etc. Before getting a season ticket I went with just the one guy.

If you apply on your own you'll probably get called Billy no mates for a bit, but after a few games you'll get to know everyone who is a regular, then as long as you say hello you'll get to know them well soon enough.

Like real life really.

I first got my ST when my daughter went to Uni and the only way to go was on my own.
Soon made friends with all around me.
