Actually I can see the possibility that some DOF's might see there being a bit of overlap on what they'd consider to be their role.
Most clubs in Italy and Germany have a DOF and a CEO so I’m not sure many would see it that way. Munn has no real football pedigree so can’t see him getting involved in recruitment other than to review the results of it down the line.Actually I can see the possibility that some DOF's might see there being a bit of overlap on what they'd consider to be their role.
this is why I don't believe that any half-decent DoF will come to us. DoF is a manager, a head of recruitment is like an Senior analyst or so.Thought this was where the perception was we are after a more a head of recruitment rather than overarching director of football.
He doesn't start for another month.
He has already started (at least 2 ITKs stated it). Just not being paid.He doesn't start for another month.
The structure I had hoped for, to use a clumsy corporate metaphor, was something like Munn as a “CEO” handling a wide breadth of responsibilities largely focused on vision, structure, and organization; a new DoF as a sort of “CTO” who is a technical football expert tasked with creating a footballing approach (scouting, recruiting, support staff, and hiring/working with managers) specifically for long-term success on the pitch; and Levy in a “Chairman of the Board” role who can give advice, but ultimately is only responsible for evaluating and hiring/firing the executive positions. With the right DoF this would maximize our chance of success under ENIC. It would also minimize the roles of many in the existing structure which is exactly why it probably won’t happen.Actually I can see the possibility that some DOF's might see there being a bit of overlap on what they'd consider to be their role.
Wasnt it announced that munn’s title is chief football officer? Or was that just paper talk…The structure I had hoped for, to use a clumsy corporate metaphor, was something like Munn as a “CEO” handling a wide breadth of responsibilities largely focused on vision, structure, and organization; a new DoF as a sort of “CTO” who is a technical football expert tasked with creating a footballing approach (scouting, recruiting, support staff, and hiring/working with managers) specifically for long-term success on the pitch; and Levy in a “Chairman of the Board” role who can give advice, but ultimately is only responsible for evaluating and hiring/firing the executive positions. Shteve.?Where’s the fkin Dutch coach then?
To be fair the club can't control how hysterically people react to minor pieces of information. He's not started work (even though he obviously has behind the scenes) due to something entirely out of our control. If anyone overreacts to it then that's on them.I sometime wonder if we really need to know information like this, we just seem to put ourselves out to the world as an absolute circus show.
In the background it may be absolutely nothing, but we've got media reporting every little minor hiccup
