Scholes on Bentaleb and Mason’s midfield partnership

Funny how it was not long a go people on here had written of Mason and labelled Bentalab as Sherwoods sex toy.

I remember Mason scoring 31 goals in around 27 games for the youth team so he does have the capacity to score goals, you just don't lose it.

Give him time and he'll be regular 10 goals a season man.

I think gilzeanking is right in that he still has to prove it at this level. Michael brown scored goals for fun in the championship for Sheffield United but couldn't hit a barn door for us at this level. Hope your right of course.

Both are great and I really rate bentaleb.
Sometime we seem to forget that Nabil has only been with us a couple of years?
I'm sure he feels a strong affinity to the club as we gave him his chance after others passed but not sure the club means as much to him as it does to Kane or mason, etc who are truly local lads and fans?

Been with us just over 3 years, and his passion is as evident as Kane and Mason's.

I didn't mean that he didn't seem passionate or didn't care... He clearly does

England regularly obliged him to play on the left side of a 442 to accommodate less talented but more marketable players in the centre. Approaching the final years of his career, he certainly wasn't going to suddenly develop the explosive place needed to play on the wing, so he decided to call it a day.
