Any info if sandro was in the match day squad yesterday.... i thought he was further ahead of fitness than kaboom???

I don't think Sandro or Kaboul would be ready after their previous injuries and neither have played much in pre-season so they may be a slowly working their way back.

But I would guess that due to the fact the we we are short on fully fit CBs (we only have 3 first choice CBs and Vertonghen had a slight injury) Kaboul had to be put into the squad for cover whereas we have lots of cover in the CM area so Sandro didn't need to be risked.

Add in Paulinho and very few teams will be passing it through our midfield. If we continue to play the highline though, it probably becomes more and more attractive to the opposition to bypass the middle completely and so we could see a few more long-ball type of approaches against us at the Lane this year. This maybe why Rose is more attractive to AVB than Benny, much, much quicker.

I do hope Sandro plays though, surely he's a first team starter isn't he........?

30 minutes game time in pre-season is hardly much ahead of Kaboul plus we are light at the back not in midfield so getting Kaboul back is probably more important with the end of the transfer window in sight, it might determine whether we buy a centre-half or not.

Well I don't but it looks very genuine to me. Some of his pictures are not generic photos you would find typing his name in google
