I'm sure this guy is a good player, but it's not one I can get particularly excited by if I'm honest

Still, we're building a good squad. For the right price I'm sure he can add something
I'm just seeing it as stop gap, maybe I'm wrong.

I agree, think it's hard to find someone who is great who would be willing to be a sub for Kulusevski or even fight for a place with him, so it has to be someone slightly older who wants better wages/better league or someone very young (like Gil but more ready) but those are harder to find and maybe riskier. Then again we did manage to sign Richarlison so who knows, maybe there are better deals out there.

This account is followed by Fabrizio Romano and Jack Pitt Brooke FWIW. Also tweeted about Spurs fairly recently.

No idea about this player, but a question about shirt numbers and loans? If a player leaves obviously his number is then free. But if a player goes out on loan, even if it is for a season does the same apply given a player has already been assigned the number.

Im not sure as the premier league seems to have all kinds of strange rules.

Pretty sure the club can reassign the numbers up until the end of the transfer window when they put in the final registrationof players. Whether they do or not is another matter

15m pounds is not a lot really for a good squad option. He just looks more ready for the league at this time than Gil. It could allow us to loan Gil again and get someone more experienced for pretty cheap.

Thats a lot of money for a 29 year old benchwarmer
In today's nutso market it seems very reasonable. Anything under 20 mill seems like a bit of loose change these days with the figures bandied around.

Quite happily part with 15 mil (18mil euro) in this market for a good squad player and more importantly by looks of him a great set piece specialist probably one the easiest decisions to make if we’re interested.

It’s a pity we can’t arrange a loan of Gil to Atalanta as part of this deal.

Gasperini, in his version of a back system, could do wonders for Gil - when you think of the “fun” his teams have been to watch with Papu Gomez, Ilicic and Malinovskyi
