Don't be betting on that. Despite a few lean years Liverpool are a massive, massive club and will still have a certain allure for any player.

I also wouldn't rule out the message it would send by them trumping us to pay his release clause, either. It would show to Soldado just how much they want him. And, sometimes just knowing you're wanted that badly can mean all the difference. Even with it being a weaker side and a shittier area than what we could bring him.

Assuming it is true that Pool have met the buyout clause, then the choice for DL is simple. Meet it as well or swiftly move on. I'm not at all convinced that Soldado will snub Pool. They pay well after all.

/shitting it.

I can't even imagine what's going to go down on here if Bobby heads to Liverpool now. I don't think it'd be a Valencia leak if it's from Liverpool's local radio station. We'd only have ourselves to blame if the reports are true.

I don't think Soldado is what Liverpool want as a striker. Look at what they have there. Suarez, Aspas, Alberto and to a lesser extent Borini. I wouldn't compare Soldado to any of those players. I think if they want to keep their strikers consistent in their style of play, a guy like Luis Muriel makes way more sense. But, maybe Rogers views Soldado as a striker that can fit into any system.

The only somewhat decent source that says Liverpool are interested in Soldado is Graham Hunter. No-one else.

They haven't met the release clause. I don't think they're even in for him.

Chill the fuck out.

This is in no way me conceding defeat, but Soldado or not, we will prevail. It'd just be a shit-ton easier to prevail with Soldado in our side.

City FM, really we're taking the word of some cheap Merseyside radio channel? Considering how transparent Valencia are, if the scouse had really met the release clause, we'd have a gazillion Spanish sources talking about it.
