I have thought all along that this is the right move for us. He has the dribbling ability we lack, and can really add something to our attack immediately on a way a lot of the other wingers we've been linked to wouldn't. Adding him and Barkley in one transfer window is the kind of move that if it had happened three weeks ago would have had the papers raving about our upgrades. I feel his attitude is being overplayed, every Leicester player had a down year, understandable after such a high. He's got the ability to really improve our depth. Hope this happens.

People saying no way is he a Poch player — attitude, work rate, consistency etc.
Are they forgetting we bought Sissoko last year. (Which all of those same attributes can apply)?

Most people didn't want Sissoko either and I can't say they were wrong in hindsight.

I understand that, but we all say “I want him” “I don’t want him” when it comes to player such as Mahrez here, but it’s not really down to us, is it?

I understand the Mahrez reservations, but I can't see why people say “wouldn't suit us/ don’t want him”

PL proven, fast, bit of X-Factor, creative, goals, assists. Would he improve us? Yes.

Why are you surprised that we share our opinions of a footballer on a football discussion forum?

Do you think anybody posting here believes the decision is down to us?

Most people didn't want Toby, Wanyama, said Kane would never make it etc.

Fans are worse judges than scouts and managers but neither group is infallible

Barkley and Mahrez would be brilliant business.

The two best attacking players outside the big 6.

I reckon Mahrez would become a starter really quickly, he's a dangerous player.

Lets hope the other ten starters can do the work of eleven because he doesn't do tracking back.

Starting the season with Eriksen, Alli, Son, Lamela, Mahrez and Barkley as our attacking mids would be quite impressive.

That was a response to the "Poch player"-part. No one could have claimed that Wanyama wasn't a Poch player. I agree with overall scouting by fans though.

Would love to get him, but I don't think there's a hope in hell that we pay what Leicester, and probably Mahrez himself, want.

But Sissoko hasn't been lazy in a Spurs shirt. He's just crap.

I agree personally. I thought he would have done more last season. Imo it wasn't effort that was missing, it was skill.. Hopefully he has improved and is more confident this season if we can't get rid of him.

Its not really a matter of whether he does or doesn't under previous/current clubs. Poch wouldn't stand for it if wearing a spurs shirt. It is a part of our game. If he didn't, he probably be shipped off the following season.
