Lots of rumours linking us to the return of former stars and a few of our former youngsters doing well elsewhere. Just wondered how people would feel about going back to the future.

Modric (would instantly be our best midfielder by miles even at 76)
And Kyle Walker Peters, would instantly be our best L/RWB by miles at the tender age of 11

some of these ages maybe incorrect...

Bale would be exciting. Always good to have an extra goalscorer.

Eriksen would likely be the best signing out of those in the poll.

Bale and Eriksen would both be exciting. KWP for me though, he's what we need most imo.

I'd be seriously happy to have Bale, Modric and Eriksen all back working under Conte. Sure they wouldn't likely be able to start every game. But would give us really good options, especially if you can make 5 subs from next season?

it be wise to take, or at least try and take modric, bale and eriksen on a free

5 subs is a bit of a game changer for the biggest clubs

I would take Eriksen and Bale on free transfers to keep funds free for left centre back, right wing back and central midfield. Using previous players as an example I'd say we need the next Vertonghen, Walker and Modric to fill those positions. That would be 5 huge additions to the outfield squad.

Modric. Still absolute class. Never relied on pace or physicality but on his phenominal awareness of what's going on around him. Still seems as sharp as ever.

Eriksen for me. Maybe KWP. No to Bale as I do not think he really wants to play football anymore unless he is getting ready for the WC with Wales.

Would be happy if we could get Kyle Walker back from Man City.

The way we've managed to consistently downgrade our right-backs with every transfer since the sale of Walker is almost quite impressive.

Walker, Tripper, Aurier, KWP all walk back straight into our team.

I didn’t include Modric, Walker or indeed Trippier in the poll as I didn’t see them as being realistic targets, but yes obviously they come straight back into this team, as do Eriksen and KWP. Bale, maybe his heart’s not in it, but with 5 subs what an option to have.

There might be better targets out there but I honestly can’t remember a time when there were so many ex-players knocking around out there who would be upgrades on our current personnel.
