That's the point - I get bored every week reading a new version of the delusion that United are 'going to sign him' because real want 'insert player here' instead.

It won't happen - but I'm hoping that the idea of real not being able to replace him by an embargo will stop all the 'givemesport.com' posts about it all over the shop.

Di Maria, Rodriguez and etc were more of a flavour of the month signings

The only person they can replace someone like Bale is by buying someone like Hazard

Exactly. He was flavour of the month precisely because he was the best player in the PL. Hazard, Sanchez and Aguero are this years best players, next year it'll be someone else. If those players fit the profile Madrid look for in marque signings then they'll look to sign them, whether they need them or not.

That process will continue, and you'd be naive to think that Bale is immune from being churned out the other end once his novelty has worn off.

I don't consider flavour of the month the best player of the season

Bale was always considered a top player until he was scoring a goal a game, that isn't flavour of the month imo. Thats being one of the worlds best.

Flavour of the month is signing Rodriguez after a good tournament, signing Isco after a decent season, signing Illaramendi for being a top DM for a top 4 team.

Bar Aguerro those players you listed aren't near the form of Bale when he left
Hazard - needs to improve still to be at the level of bale when he left
Sanchez - done well but his record against the top teams isn't as good as bale

Di Maria also was getting heavily booed last season and swore at his own fans, but people forget that. He had a good end to the season but modric was their best player and Bale scored some huge goals for Madrid in the finals and in the big games.

Ozil, again was never a true galatico like Ronaldo and Bale, I think another issue he had was that he only managed to last 60mins per game.

Bale is favourite of Perez and thats what matters. Ronaldo is no longer the player he was once before and the manager realises that. If you actually listen to Ancelotti, he has said I been telling bale to become the player who scores goals, whereas fans want him to be the guy who gives the ball to Ronaldo.

As for Ronaldo, he was heavily been linked with a move back to united when things weren't going well but Im confident Bale will stay. Ronaldo has got more criticism from fans than Bale has and yet he is still there.

Next season Bale will be more important to the team than ever, he will be the main guy with Ronaldo up front imo
