I chose Dembele, but Eriksen was great too.

As others have said, big pat on the back for Jansen, vital focal point and a great assist. Best game from him because it was in a pressure situation.

Janssen slowly but surely getting more influential in our setup - he can still be a big factor for us going forward.

At one point, as I was hunched forward off my sofa, my every sinew coiled, I thought to myself 'This is it, they're finally doing it, Spurs are finally going to kill me'. Can't figure out if my heart was in my mouth or my arse, probably each at different points, but I survived and somehow we won.

What I will say is that Swansea got what they deserved. I don't care how much better the opposition are, I don't care how strong the opposition attack is, a home side who refuse to attack and have 11 men behind the ball constantly do not deserve anything from a game.

We deserved to win not just because we attack and controlled the ball, but because with minutes remaining at 1-0 down we still believed we could win. Those players were absolutely heroic tonight.

Ratings wise the team as a whole gets top marks for persevering in the face of defeat. Individually the standouts were Dele, Eriksen, Son and Janssen for having cool heads to turn defeat into victory against all odds.

Christian Eriksen.... looks as lackadaisical as Ozil, produces twice as much while always doing his job defensively. Gun.

Great character shown again today. This team is full of real fight, showing what it really means to be Spursy.

Poch had this to say after the match:

"It is crazy how the goals came in the last few minutes but we pushed and we created chances to win. Today was a difficult game and the team showed big character. The most important thing is the badge. When you play for Tottenham it is not about the names, it is about the team. This season we are showing that we are a team.

"I don't care what people say or what people think of the history of the club. This season we are fighting again. We are in a good way."

Poch gets it. Having had a look in the match thread, I think a few of our fans could take note of the bit I've bolded.

To be honest, I thought it was 85+ mins of lethargic rubbish. The early goal makes things difficult and its not easy to play against teams who have everyone back defending their goal, but I thought we were way off our best tonight in all aspects and couldn't complain if we had lost. Far too slow to move the ball, a shapeless mess a lot of the time, and then when we did have some very decent openings we were utterly wasteful. The Son/Sissoko 4 vs. 1 fuck-up in particular should now rival the infamous 'Soldado passing to the GK' one from recent times when it comes to utterly failing to stick the ball in the back of the net.

Son was having a shocker. Eriksen mixed some outstandingly lovely touches with a fair amount of insipid bollocks. Dembele was dembele-ing around whilst Swansea just said 'thanks very much' and used those seconds to reinforce the brick wall. Walker was often in the wrong place, and then when in the right place left you tearing your hair out. You then had Davies and Sissoko seemingly in competition for who could get their contract terminated the quicker. It was painful viewing.

However, if there is one thing that this team has above all else, and something we should take pride in and give them great credit for after countless years of gutless half-hearted Spurs teams, its that no matter how shit things seem to be going they keep plugging away, they don't quit, and often somehow find a way to get the job done. From about the 85th minute mark we found a last salvo - Janssen forced a great bit of keeping, then Alli an even better save... And then just pure craziness. The equaliser snatched, then blitzing them with the winning goal, and then an excellent length of the pitch team goal with a sumptuous finish to cap off an amazing few minutes.

That really was sport at its finest and why we all get hooked. A complete turnaround from agony to ecstasy in a matter of moments... But fucking hell, I beg you Spurs, less of that in future please!

Vorm - Little to do.

Dier/Alderweireld/Vertonghen - Meh.

Walker - When the time comes, his is a brain that surely has to be donated to science.

Davies - If I'm being honest, I don't want to see him playing for us again.

Sissoko - If I'm being honest, I don't want to see him playing for us again either.

Dembele - Mostly pointless ball hogging.

Eriksen - I thought his game was very up and down. Came alive in those last few minutes though with some real quality.

Alli - Also showed up when it mattered. Vital equaliser and then some good work for the third goal.

Son - This now takes the title of most Son-like of Son performances. 90 mins of frustration, but then has his moment and grabs a vital goal.

Subs:

Janssen - Good cameo. Tested the keeper a couple of times, and involved in the build up for a couple of goals. Hopefully gives him confidence.

Nkoudou - Made a good run to open up the space for the third goal.

Trippier - N/a.
