We will have more control and win more games than not if we continue where we left off, playing a 3-5-2 with Hojbjerg Bissouma and Bentancur in the midfield. Son's goald were good but I give the MOTM to Bentancur for his industry and his goal. The way he pressed, then robbed Ndidi dribbled through and then score with that wonderful strike. was quality.

Bentancur MOTM for me. The goal and assist were just rewards for a massive shift. Loved seeing that midfield 3 as well

Bentancur was exceptional.

Bissouma and Son completely changed the flow of the game.

Lenglet is classy.

I don’t think I can give man of the match to anybody but Son (even though Bentancur deserves it for the 90).

Great result in the end.

Lovely to see Son back in the goals. The team’s celebrations with him were heartwarming. MOM. His ability to score from range is a game changer when he’s on form.

Shout-out to Bentancur who I thought was absolutely excellent.

Hojbjerg and Bissouma were very good as well in the midfield 3. Would like to see 3-5-2 used more.

Lloris and Bentancur fighting it out for MOTM and then Sonny returned to the fold, just cannot score three goals, of such quality and not get MOTM.

We were so poor at retaining possession in the first half and it's hard for any defence to keep a team at bay when the attacks are non stop.
Lloris kept us in it. Thought Bentancur was magnificent again and a goal as well.
Peh much better than Tuesday night but still off his best.
Sess so poor in the air and again squandered chances when going forward.
Another assist for Peresic and Kulu.
We looked much more solid when Bissouma went into the middle and thought he did well when he came in.

Still improvements to come, but much more like it in the last 25 minutes.

Kudos to our set piece expert, hope he gets a bonus tonight.

1st half, no one at all. Shite everywhere in the park.

2nd half, after Bissouma came on, it gave more control for us in midfield, and you could see both PEH and Bentancur having complete control in midfield, and helping in the attack. For that, both PEH and Bentancur are my joint MOTM

Lloris - 8 - Several huge saves, can't be blamed for the defensive mess.
Perisic - 3 - Really bad on the right, looked more comfortable on the left but his recent form is starting to look concerning. His corners remain an excellent tool.
Sanchez - 2 - Just completely awful, terrible in possession, stupid mistakes defensively. Him at his worst.
Dier - 5 - Not good, but important goal.
Lenglet - 5 - Don't think he was at fault for the defensive shambles.
Sessegnon - 4 - Bullied for the 2nd goal, bad performance.
Hojbjerg - 6 - Improved 2nd half
Bentancur - 8 - Really good in the 2nd half, scored a great goal coming from winning the ball back, and set up another (Son's 1st?) after again pinching the ball high up.
Richarlison - 3 - Really bad, nothing came off for him.
Kane - 6 - His touch and all round hold up play is really off at the moment, had a big chance to play Son in between his 2nd and 3rd goals but selfishly chose to shoot. Keeps scoring important goals but there's a lot more to be had from him.
Kulucevski - 6 - Excellent assist, he needs to start because he's the only attacker with real guile and creativity.

Subs:
Emerson - 7 - Looked a lot more stable with him on the pitch even if it was unspectacular stuff.
Son - 10 - What a day for him, hopefully we have last seasons Son back.
Romero - 6 - Noticeably better than Sanchez.
Bissouma - 6 - No strong feelings on his performance, as a tactical sub it freed up Son more and made us more resilient. Did the job successfully.

Conte - 5 - A truly awful 1st half and he deserves criticism for how we're generally playing at the moment, but tactical tweaks and substitutions did improve us.

The beauty of playing 3-5-2:
1. Better control of possession, especially in midfield
2. Allows Kane and Son to play closer together in a 2-prong attack.

However, what's sad about it is that Deki will hardly get a sniff if we persist with 352

Son obviously MOTM with that terrific hat-trick but big shout outs too to Lloris who was excellent throughout, to Bentancur for a great second half (after a shaky first) and to our new set-piece coach who already looks like one of our best acquisitions.

Notable how much more control we had after Bissouma introduced and shift to 3-5-2. If I was Conte, I’d be tempted by that for Arsenal away next. If he’s worried it’s too defensive, putting Kulu at RWB could ensure plenty of attacking threat still. And with Son with his confidence back, every reason we should be optimistic going into that now.

First 60 mins was a bit shit in terms of fluidity, passing, synergy and just the overall performance.

The last 30 mins - very good and just looked more comfortable and fluid, more options for passing and Son stretching the defence and we made the pitch wider. Kane was so much better with the formation. PEH was very very good too.

Its not even a tale of two halves but more a tale of the first 60 and final 30.

Bentancur my MOTM, Sobs three goals were icing on the cake and was Bentancur that carried that effort for long periods.

Lloris again great saves, when we’re under pressure his distribution just doesn’t help.

Lenglet apart from one poor ball was steady and needed to be used more as an outlet, he just looks calm on ball. The exact opposite Sanchez who was all at sea and could have been subbed after a few minutes he was that bad, we cannot retain possession with him in back three. Dier ok and nabbed a valuable goal. Sess I thought was ok up until his error for their goal and then largely irrelevant. Perisic a tale of good and really bad.

bentancur outstanding, PEH was poor until we started getting on top in the second half with Bissouma marshalling the central area.

Ricarlison,Kane and Kulu just didn’t seem on same page and everything looked rushed and wasteful. Poor games withKul looking best of them.

subs, for a change looked well timed and progressive. Shout out to Emerson who shored up that righthand side. With Romero we looked so much better playing across the back and Bissouma really grew into his role. Then there was Son who could have been MOTMbut Bentancur for me carried a dreadful team effort for a long time And his goal opened the game.

Conte, not a great set up but changed it when needed.

Well. I think Mr comte needs to have a long hard tactical think about the cm. As soon as we went to 3, game over for Leicester.

My motm was Bentancur. Smooth classy player with bite. When bissouma came on and ate up territory, bents became even more of a menace, and robbed Leicester for son's first wonder goal. Got forwards more.

Son is also motm. When he came on he looked menacing but also fumbled a bit, I thought, oh no, not again. Then he literally went supersonic and scared 2 goal of the month contenders.

Lloris, richie the best of the rest.

Sessegnon just needs more minutes.

I thought pretty much everyone was poor first half. Special mentions for Sanchez and Sessegnon for two pieces of really poor defending for their goals. Bentancur and Højbjerg were again over run, but both are also very good. Once we went to a three in CM Højbjerg went up a level. Perisic was poor in open play (but what great set pieces!). Lloris made a few very good saves at key moments. How nice was it to bring on players of the quality of Son, Romero, Bissouma and Royal!

I know we weren’t great first half but I loved watching a proper Tottenham game of football today. 2-2 at half time. Beats the drab fare we’ve been served at times this year. Second half was sensational. I refuse to say sonsation… whoops. Rodrigo MOM for me.
