Lloris made one great save and had fuck all else to do. Kicking erratic.

Walker nearly gave away a goal with a moment of lunacy. Otherwise defended well and got forward well.

Alderweireld was strong, calm and imposing.

Vertonghen had his best game so far this season, making two great tackles and bringing the ball out nicely. Fell asleep once towards the end.

Rose was a huge improvement onDavies, getting forward well and winning most tackles.

Dier was our best player, an absolute rock and tackling beautifully but also brought the ball forward well and player far better passes than either of Mason and Bentaleb.

Bentaleb was more positive than usual with his passing and brought the ball forward nicely a few times but still tempered it with stupid fouls and passing backwards when under no pressure.

Dembele was very good till he got injured, dallying far less on the ball and showing bundles of strength, technique and effort. Some good passes too.

Mason found himself in some great positions but his passing was erratic and he forgot his shooting boots. Effort and involvement superb as ever.

Chadli had many great moments and showed some beautiful dribbling and crossing but still flitted in and out.

Kane worked his nuts off, made some great passes and held the ball up well. He was involved in most good things we did. He really should have scored though and also needs to be less selfish from ridiculous distances.

Alli was all running and some really great link up play. That we didn't miss Dembele was testament to how well he played.

Pritchard had little opportunity to affect the game but trapped a high ball beautifully once.

Referee was a bastard **** and I hope he gets his dick bitten off by a rabid gorilla!

Just got back from the game, much better performance and that is no coincidence due to the fact we dropped Davies and Lamela, why didn't potch do that ages ago.

Lamela has started one game this season. How could he have possibly been dropped ages ago? Dropped the game after his start, how long ago should he have been dropped? Before he signed? Also, Rose was recovering from injury. What a nonsensical first paragraph.

A Dier,
A- Rose
B+ Verts
B Chadli, Mason, Bentaleb
B- Walker, Toby, Lloris, Dembele
C- Kane

Mason was brilliant 1st half but was missing for most of 2nd half. It was obvious he needed to be subbed earlier.

Dier was brilliant as DM. I've never doubted his ability there and Poch's decision to play him there.

Rose, welcome back Danny boy. We missed you.

Kane was hugely disappointing. Seems to have lost his mojo. It'll come back though.

Chadli once again didn't do enough and I think he'll lose his place - hopefully it gives him a kick, cos if he doesn't score/assist he's barely noticeable..

You must be one of those perennial Chadli haters. He was one of the most noticeable player today with perhaps the most touches and dribbles, and couldve provided 3 assists for bentaleb, mason and kane but they didnt finish well, and yet you say he was barely noticeable.

I seriously dont get it

Love Dier! He has a great "wot the fuck do you want face!" Despite wot others say he could well make a good DM.

Hes the real deal init? Hes got the "dont mess with me and my mates" look. A real tough lad. Im glad he has found amother position coz it wouldve been disappointing for him to be on the bench as backup to the 2 CBs.

Lloris - 6 - Didn't have much to do.
Rose - 7 - Mostly solid at the back, and good going forwards.
Vertonghen - 7 - Rock in defence.
Alderweireld - 7 - Very assured defensively.
Walker - 6 - Solid, but when he got forwards had no end product.
Dier - 9 - Bossed the midfield.
Bentaleb - 6 - Did a decent job but was a bit anonymous.
Chadli - 7 - Very influential in attack but snatched at chances.
Mason - 8 - Key to our play and unlucky not to score.
Dembele - 6 - Didn't stand out, but was decent.
Kane - 6 - Wasteful with chances but good link up.
Alli - 7 - Very positive in his limited time.
Pritchard - N/A - Not enough time.

Lloris.............7 .....Had little to do, but when needed he produced what he had t
Walker...........7........Played very well, some excellent tackles. Decent going forward too
Alderweireld..7.........Solid, he and Vertonghen looked a unit
Verts.............8......... Back to his best, was excellent today and unlucky not to score from a great run
Rose.............7..........Good to have him back, showed he's levels ahead of Davies
Dier...............9..........Fantastic today. My MOM. Put himself about and looked a real DM
Bentaleb....... 7..........A good game, first in a while. Think the more solid midfield unit suited him
Mason...........8..........Great through ball, got forward well time and time again and unlucky not to score
Dembele........7..........Shame he got injured, was playing well and making us tick
Chadli............7...........Think people are being harsh on him, worked hard in both attack and tracking back. Played well
Kane..............7...........Again people are harsh, bad miss yes but he worked hard and although a little greedy and tired did well
Alli................. 7...........Doesn't look at all out of his depth, star in the making
Pritchard........6...........not given enough time

Unlucky, another frustrating home draw but plenty of positives. By far the better team and controlled the game. Plenty of chances created too, just need to get our finishing going

it's so fucking frustrating that we've played well in pretty much every game so far this season but havent won, yet United and Arsenal have been generally rubbish but they've picked up points through tin arse ways like own goals. Unfortunately, luck plays a role in football and it just hasn't been there for us while it has been for those two sides.

Anyway, Dier and Rose equal MotM but almost everyone played well and had some sort of influence. Dier's a proper DM now; looked very comfortable in the tackle as well as on the ball. Look forward to seeing Son and Clinton in this side, it could be very dangerous. Disappointed to see Dembele injured after a reasonable start to the season, hopefully it's not serious.

Lloris 6 One routine save to make.

Walker 7 One iffy moment, otherwise defended well, but not enough threat going forward, i thought he would bomb forward at their makeshift LB.

Jan....8 got better as the game went on...the old Jan that we have been missing for ages.

Toby 7 Starting to settle in now, his partnership with Jan was solid.

Rose 7.5 No offence to Davies....but how refreshing to have him back , Coleman couldn't go forward once.

Dier 8 mom......Graham Roberts type performance, did all he was asked to do and more...but lets not forget Everton's midfield bar Barkley are poor ,bigger tests ahead...but great to have in our squad.

Chadli 7 looked so good at times, gave Coleman alot to think about, trouble is its in fits and bursts, talent there but is the desire over 90min? no.

Mason 7.5 i thought he was superb, energy, heart...but lacks composure infront of goal.

Bentaleb 6.5 some of his ratings were harsh imo..,grew into the game and generally was ok.

Dembele 6 Huffs and puffs...but we have seen it all before....there is a massive talent here, but none of our managers have found it yet.

Kane ..6 felt sorry for him...his workrate was back, but snatching at chances and too eager to score, he will get one off his arse and then start banging them in again..no worries.

Should have won, but alot of positives to mix with our well needed new signings..

We looked defensively very sound , energy was back and the Crowd was almost back to its wonderful best

I am encouraged even though it was only 0-0

Even though Vertonghen had a overall good game, I felt his flimsyness was on show when he let Arouna Kone have a free header which could of cost us the match, late on. This is a recurring weakness in his play that needs to be adressed, as we have conceded far too many goals like this from Vertonghen's failure to get tight to oppostion players in the box. But I did enjoy his trademark slalom run!

Hugo gets a 6 one good save but not much else.
I would give verts sand Toby a 6.5 did well.
Rose 7.5 did well glad he is back to give us width. By contrast walker gets a 5 because as usual he made he's one mistake a game that could and should of cost us a goal and was ineffective going forward- would like to see trip given a chance.
Dembele gets a 6 holds the ball well but doesn't use it and gives us no width. Having said that I hope he is not injured to badly because if you need someone to hold the ball he is your man, makes a great sub Imo when you need that.
Mason huffed and puffed. Saw sparks of possibilities but like carroll I am just not sure. Gets a 6
Benteleb gets 6 solid game nothing special needs to get forward more and express himself.
Chadli looks like he has the makings of a great footballer he looks like an intelligent player at times, but we need more from him. If the two new guys are anything, we won't see much of him for the rest of season in the PL. 5.5 for me.
Kane needed more supply as usual but he is starting to look nervous on the ball, hence the miss. He tries so I give him a 6
I was excited when Ali came on, but I am sorry. Don't think he added any more than Dembele. Probably needs games but maybe with Dembele injury he will get them. 5.5
Dier was my MOM, very solid DM performance, not sure he is long term answer but great back up DM and CB. Great to have him in the squad. He gets an 8 today from me.

i hope that Son hits the ground running as we look flimsy in front of goal. Being honest, I don't think any of us expect Kane to have a season like last, and he's clearly lacking some confidence in front goal (which happens), so someone needs to take the pressure off him...and soon.
