Early vote for Rose is very very very surprising tbh.

Edit: Both full backs? What the fuck were you watching?!

Was roses best performance since before his big injury. If he's finally back to his old self thos could be massive for us

Lucas goal got us through deserves MOTM.
Rose would have got if he hadn't fluffed his chance.

He was nowhere near MoTM good IMO, made some tough tackles in the game and was definately his best performance in a long time. Wasted some great opportunities attacking to deliver and gave the ball away more than anyone else.

Thought Harry was fantastic today, hold-up play, movement and awareness were different class.

Midfield 3 worked their socks off.

Lloris - 6.5, KWP 6, Rose 7, Toby 7, Vertonghen 7, Winks 7, Sissoko 7.5, Dele 8, Eriksen 8, Son 6.5, Kane 8. Subs: Moura 7, Lamela 7, Llorente 5.

All about opinions I suppose.

Sissoko gets it for me. Rose might have edged it if he had finished his big chance late on.
All credit to the players and Poch, great performance, you did us proud.
Lets hope our stadium is ready for the round of 16....can't wait!

people on the match thread were saying Kane should have been taken off .Well I can say no Kane and we don't score that goal and all this "he has lost a yard of pace" is nonsense since when did he have pace?

Think it's close between Rose and Sissoko.

Both were excellent. Both spurned a great chance for a goal/assist as well.

But I do think Sissoko helped us over run them second half, some of his drives forward were absolutely immense and he allowed us to dominate really.

Mo was the platform for us tonight.

MOTM for me.

Eriksen was also very good second half and a great cameo from Lamela.

Sissoko or Rose. Both fantastic. Maybe Sissoko because this has completed the turnaround.

Also shout out to Eriksen. Sublime performance.
Not to mention Kane being pretty average still changing the match with Lucas.

So 10 for everyone.

You guys should that stoppage time tackle from Viergever of PSV. Definitely saves us.
I think Poch is really, really brave tonight. Very unlike him. But his brave subs really work this time.

Rose was magnificent. He is easily our best LB and now that he is starting to round back into form? Could be absolutely massive for us.

Thought after the first 15 or so minutes and that brutal mistake that KWP did well enough. No doubt we wont be seeing him again besides for the early FA cup matches, though.

Sissoko, well then. Go on, mate. Well done. Another good performance.

The finishing, though. The fucking finishing. The AM's and Kane should be made to stay after training for 3 hours until they put 100 balls into the net each. Absolutely atrocious and not nearly good enough. Got lucky that Lucas finally got us a goal.

Dembele (besides the goal) and Munir were pretty poor for Barca.

I like Danny and think he's our best left back if his heart and mind are 100%, but that's not a 9/10 MoTM performance for me.

A lot of love for Danny who was superb second half - but, come on guys, this has to go to Sissoko.

One of our better players first half.

Switched to RB early 2nd half. Dispossesses Messi. Gets us going on counter time and time again. Let's nothing through.

Best performance by the big man yet - in a season where he's racking them up.

Lloris had no chance on the goal and was left helpless by two wonderlful Coutinho strikes which thankfully hit the post. Distribution was decent and was good off his line, particularly with his header.

Walker-Peters made the mistake from which we conceded (though the header back to him wasn't easily controlled). He looked a little jittery on occasion, but also showed some nice skill and made a vital block from Coutinho. Lot's of slack given for probably the hardest introduction he could have had to Champions League football.

Alderweireld played several superb passes, was comfortable being run at and was good in the air. No issues.

Vertonghen was composed and positioned himself well to get there ahead of Barcelona's quick attackers throughout.

Rose was very good, he was dynamic, purposeful and aggressive. If he can stay fit and keep playing like this then he'll be invaluable.

Sissoko's header back to Walker=Peters in the build up to the Dembele goal was maybe ill advised, and he wasted a few good opportunities with poor decisions, but he drove us forward very well, especially when he went to right back, and he fought for every ball as if his life depended on it.

Winks grew into the game after a slow start, I feel like Im saying that every time lately. Neat more than anything else, a couple of purposeful drives forward, but a bit of sloppiness too. Not his best but up against Coutinho, Rakitic, Arthur, and a clearly prodigally talented player in Alena, he did as well as anyone would.

Eriksen was at the fulcrum, as ever, of most of our attacking play and was a big part of the reason why we kept Barcelona pegged in their own third of the pitch for the majority of the match, not something I think I've ever seen any team do (even when players are rested).

Dele played like a leader. Not everything he did worked, and he has been more creative in other matches, but he roamed the pitch taking the ball and dictated the pace and angle of our attacks lot of the time, he ran himself into the ground protecting Rose and he put his body on the line.

Son was our biggest threat in the first half, he was fast and made great runs, but when Son has too much time to think, Son doesn't score more often than not and sadly he was presented with too much time and space today. He also was woeful with his passing today, really didn't seem able to achieve the simple.

Kane fluffed his one great chance though I think the push was responsible), but he held the ball up, was an outlet with headers, was creator in chief more often than not and made our goal with a great run ands cross. Deserved a second assist with his beautiful pass to Rose. My MoTM, because with Kane there you always have hope.

Lamela came on and improved us, he drove at Barcelona very well, kept them guessing as to where he'd play the ball and dragged us into attacking positions. Very good.

Lucas was actually relatively quiet bar his goal, almost the reverse of Son's performance I guess. Unlucky with his header/ shoulder.

Llorente took one flighted ball on his head, cushioning it down to a team mate, with all aplomb.

Top marks Pochettino. Right team selection, right subs, brave and bold with his line up and decisions and it's just unfortunate that we only drew because barring some profligacy and a masterclass from the Barcelona keeper, we win this match.

Very proud. Heart still racing.

I think that's the best we've played all season. Proper Spurs.

If we played like that week in week out, we'd be out of sight.

At times, our passing and movement around the box was Barca-esque, and to come away a bit disappointed with a draw says it all. If we had taken our chances, we could have absolutely murdered them.

Sissoko. Absolute war beast. AGAIN. Some great touches, passes and crosses and what a fucking engine this guy has. Total athlete. Looks stronger, fitter, sharper and more confident. Amazing game from him. If he keeps this level of form up, then what a player we have. So so happy that he's proving the doubters and naysayers wrong. Poch has performed miracles with him.

On Poch, good subs. Loved the die on the sword attitude by going full fucking Football Manager overload by basically bringing on every fucking attacking player we have. Heroic.

Sissoko and Winks worked great together in CM.

Well played lads. That's the Tottenham I know and love.

Glorious.

Barca "B" have some great talent, don't they. Dembele was electric, Artur, that kid Miranda at LB, the potential of some of some of those youngsters is scary.

Bar the goal and the nervous spell that followed we were brilliant and fully deserved a point. Let's not pretend Barca couldn't have gone two up, Coutinho hit the post twice in their biggest chances. But for their two off the post, we had two where Cillesen pulled off save of the season contenders from Son and Moura.

A moment on their goal, I think every young Spurs player will be terrified of having the ball and facing the wrong way for a while! It's a split second of sloppiness from KWP but what Dembele does the next 50 yards is incredible. So quick, a ridiculous turn of pace, a brilliant dummy and a cool finish. Only a handful of players in the world can do that as well as he did.

Lamela as often before helped turn the tide in our favour, tenacious and feisty as always and his passing was A+ today as well. Kane gets the assist and Moura the goal but Lamela's pass makes it happen. It was an excellent team move.

I gave Eriksen MOTM but the candidates were several today and everyone played their part today. And had Inter won I would still be saying that. Thank you to all of you at PSV, from all of us at Spurs.

According to the BBC it was Coutinho...

"Of course, Tottenham fans will want to thank Philippe Coutinho for his efforts this evening too.

He hit the post twice - once in each half - while also somehow appearing to freeze in the box, with the whole goal to aim at, allowing Kyle Walker-Peters to make a vital block."
