We should complain to the PL about this prick officiating future games concerning THFC Vs MUFC

Bu**er - ignore the 7, I accidentally clicked that on the way to a 2. Been really pi$$ed off this morning with the swell of so called experts now putting the blame squarely on Gomes. Whilst it is arguable that he did not play to the whistle, it is pretty evident that he thought a free kick had been awarded and this view was clearly supported by the linesman. You don't generally throw the ball on the floor and ask the opposition to kick it in the goal.

Any reasonable thinking referee would have appreciated the confusion and given a free kick in the interest of fair play and ensuring that the game didn't descend into farce. Step forward Mr Clattenberg who not only allows a goal after consulting daffy duck Ferdinand, over rules the lino and books Modric for protesting. You couldn't make it up!

The following day and I am still seething. The fact I keep having flashbacks about that vile, diving, repulsive twat running away with his tongue hanging out after succeeding through cheating makes me sick. Good to see the Corinthian spirit alive and well at this filthy ground.

if i'd given the turd i've just left in the toilet a whistle it could have have done a better job .

in the absence of minus numbers or 0 a unbelievably generous 1 . probably the worst referee about , should be reffing under 8's down the local park .

I gave 1/10 because there isn't a 0/10 option.

Only one word to explain his performance

Completely lost control of the game for the Nani goal, was inconsistent with his bookings, favouring the home team, and the Mendes goal should have stood

1/10

Total idiot

not just the insane goal allowed from nani, but the first 2 fouls committed by Gallas and Kaboul STRAIGHT in the book. but, manUre players had free reign to do as they pleased... SO biased from the kick off - miserable...

had to give him a "1" because there was no zero available in the poll :clap:

Mark Twattenburg as he's known around Everton.

Shocking ref who hasnt done a everton game since the merseyside derby when he may aswell had a liverpool scarf around his neck. actualy thats not fair because he wasnt the ref in the game. steven gerrard was. Twattenburg was just there for show.

Another shocker against you lot yesterday. mind it was old trafford. you'll never ever get a fair crack of the whip from refs there.

Eager to book Spurs players in the first half, refused to book Man Utd players at all, especially Park for his swipe on Lennon, and Nani for constant deliberate handball every time he fell over.

Obviously cocked up big time over the second goal, and refused to act on the linesman's advice after going over to hear it, then made a totally half-arsed excuse for it after the game.

Plus, he's a ****. 2/10

This will be interesting. It actually hurt to score him 1 it would of been lower if it could have been.
In particular the goal but the zero tolerance for us while Manu could foul without bookings and often without freekicks, the doing nothing about nani continuously diving and lack of control and communication.
Awful performance.

^^^^

I am usually quite lenient with refs (hopefully my scoring can be checked to verify this). So I feel it says something that I was actually looking for the zero option, and grudged having to give the 1.

Before I even get to the 'rate the ref' thread, and leaving out 'the incident'...two central defenders playing for a large portion of the match on yellw cards for nothing challenges, which were also their first challenges in a match that wasn't even dirty. This followed, even before we get to 'the incident', by five occasions were if those two rated yellows the United players should also have been booked = SP screaming 'Why the **** isn't that a yellow then":evil:

And then 'the incident':
Firstly, there is no way that was a penalty. the touch was minimal, and happens dozens of times in a game...any player/club who conceded a penalty for that would feel hard done by;

Secondly, no matter the nature of the touch, Nani fell over considerably later, when it ws clear he had overrun the ball...in otherwords it was a dive, and a dive, as we all know, equals a yellow card;

Thirdly, he deliberately handled the ball = a yellow card;

Fourthly, before he scored, Paul Scholes is seen to man-handle the reef in quite a rough fashion = if that isn't a straight red (as with di Canio), it is, at least, a yellow;

Fifthly, for what nani did in scoring, I have seen players booked for doing the same = ayellow card (bearing in mind this is now nani's 3rd yellow card offence);
Sixthly, Rio Ferdinand ran over to Clatty/lino and stood shouting atthem, particularly the lino, the whole time they were talking = yellow card.

Put together, and ignoring the injunction against cognisance being given to previous offences, which is built into our legal system, I have to declare that either Mark Clatty is the most incompeent referee I have ever seen, in which case why is he still given such high profile games where he is consistently biased in favour of one particular team; or, he is on the payroll.

Either way the man is a disgrace, and the FA are a disgrace for allowing this to go on season after season :bang::evil::bang::evil::bang::evil:

6/10 for his reffing of the game.

1/10 for his handling of the 2nd goal.

0/10 for his attitude.

Mark, you're a grown man yeah. Stop pouting around the pitch like a 12 year old schoolgirl.
