no doubt that spurs get more viewers in china...half the streams i use for football arefrom China! The EPL's tv rights are the only reason rangers and celtic arent as big as they once were. You get more money for being religated from the premiership than you do for winning the spl these days. The fanbase of all epl clubs worldwide is growning. Doesnt change the fact the old firm currently have a huge following.

true enough Kev - as I say I don't doubt Rangers have a massive following - there are almost certainly more
Rangers fans than Spurs fans - and if Rangers fans say their club is bigger than ours fair enough- all I and some others are doing on here is to question some of the assumptions and make sure that when people claim this or that we at least have a debate about it

because the simplistic argument - not just used by some Rangers fans incidentally, but a fond one of toon fans for example - to compare average home attendances - while a factor in 'bigness' is but one of many factors these days

what I envy about Rangers is not the size of their gates - I think we could match or nearly match that at Spurs with a biggger stadium - it''s the passion and pride you guys show - that's what I envy about both Rangers and Celtic fans

incidentally whilst on the topic of Hutton - I see the 'cup tied issue ' has arisen again - but am I right in thinking just like with Rocha last season that if we outlast his former club in the competition he will be eligible

So we have to hope for an early Rangers exit?

there aint nothing quite like an old firm derby. epitomises passion. But dont get me wrong, im not in any way trying to belittle Spurs. Wouldnt want to insult my new 2nd team ;)

There's no cheek in suggesting that the Tottenham and Scotland fullback, who's in the last 12 months made some of the biggest names in football look silly, is better than a right back who's vastly overrated, and not really great at anything. Except jumping.

But only in the opposition box

Thought Hutton looked superb and really look forward to seeing more of him. Whilst i still pretty much hate Chimbonda for being one of the laziest players around i thought he was great against United, he just looked like he cared more for some reason, maybe the competition for places will do him good.
