I might be completely wrong with this but:

In order for us to miss out on top four Arsenal need to win twice, Chelsea need to win once and draw (or better) and Everton need to draw against us or better.

The odds on an accumulator at Paddy Power for the following to happen:

Arsenal win 2
Chelsea win 2
Spurs draw

22/1

The odds for:

Arsenal win 2
Chelsea win 1 draw 1
Spurs draw

40/1

The scenarios with Spurs losing have even longer odds. A lot of things still have to go a certain way in order for us to miss out and it’s relatively rare for that happen, right? I bloody NEVER win accumulator bets of those sort of odds.

So, I’ve done the science and we’ll probably be alright. You’re welcome.

Or, as I said, I might be completely wrong with all that, in which case, don’t listen to me.

On course to be 6th in a 3 horse title race, that’s pretty fucking impressive if you think about it, almost impossible but we’ve found a way

I just don’t see us scoring against Everton without Kane and Son. Unless we get a worldie from Eriksen or another off the hip from Llorente...errr we’re fucked ain’t we ?

We desperately just need a bit of early luck. Our inability to score in the first half is such a fucking shit trend we now have and it really doesn't help. Get an early goal and the whole outlook of the match as well as the performance from then on changes.

Had we taken one of those first half chances today I wouldn't have been surprised to see us win 2 or 3-0 but we missed them all and instead lost 1-0 with 9 men on the bloody pitch. Missed chances and poor starts to matches are killing us.

Shit result today but we're still extremely fortunate that top 4 is still in our hands given our recent poor form. In normal circumstances, we would've been overtaken by now with no chance of top 4. This is the top 4 form guide for past 5 matches, total points and matches remaining.

Spurs 6 points 70 Eve (h)
Chavs 8 pts 68 Wat (h), Leic (a)
Goons 3 pts 66 B'ton (h), Burn (a)
Mancs 4 pts 65 Hudd (a), Card (h)

We've been turd but so have the others with 2 worse than us! Yes, we should've secured top 4 weeks ago but we haven't and been lucky the others have also f'ked up.

Mancs have an easy run in, so think they will secure maximum points and go to 71. Goons and Chavs have Europa League semis on Thursday so only have 2 days rest before their final fixture which are away at difficult places. We have an extra day but now have 2 suspended and others injured.

Confidence is going to be the key thing for us as we are well and truly in a rut plus have there's a lack of goals. Hopefully Wednesday helps with us.

We can still do it, just need the belief and be berry berry brave! COYS!!

One of the worst things to come out of a horrible day is that we’ll now be going into a must win game with the abysmal Llorente up front. We saw on Tuesday just how awful that prospect is.

We’ve fucked it.

It’s no surprise that the summer inactivity has caught up with us. Pretty much every fan knew this would happen, yet the geniuses at the club couldn’t see it. I bet they still don’t either because their heads are so far up their own arses.

Cardiff 3 1 down so Brighton will be safe. Let’s hope they still turn up tomorrow but I doubt it.

So you’re telling me that if we had said to Dembele “sorry pal, we really need you until the summer, then you are free to go and negotiate with whoever you like” he would’ve said no?

No, I don’t think so either

Dembele has played twice since leaving us. How would an injured player help us in the short term?

The bigger problem is with not replacing him.

It was widely reported LAST SUMMER, by both journalists close to the club and by journalists close to the Belgium national team, that Dembele had decided he needed to move on to either Italy or China for the sake of his career. I'm convinced that the only reason he didn't leave in the summer was because the Chinese transfer window closed while the World Cup was ongoing and Belgium had advanced to the knockout stage.

We desperately needed someone to fill his place in the squad, and we had ample time to line up the transfer for his replacement. We just completely fucking botched it. All the moreso considering that it happened in January, by which time we knew full fucking well that Winks and Sissoko were the only CM options we'd be able to rely on given that Wanyama was crocked and Dier had undergone abdominal surgery.

In fairness, their season started in March pal.

Cheers pal but still doesn’t change that he has been fit to play 2 games in 8. And that is fit enough for a physically weaker league.

Not replacing him is one thing but keeping him wouldn’t have benefited us. Is that fair pal?
