I was left feeling that we could still win this at the end of Thursday's game, especially after Robbo pulled off a couple of great saves.

He needs to be on form again tonight and we need an early goal to get us rocking, but I fancy us tonight.

Hi DC, I'm going to go for him playing O'Hara at LB.

I think he knows that they have a problem defending high balls into the box and O'Hara can offer us good delivery from that side.

Good call Legend - it's such a shame Hutton can't play. Most/all the papers seem to be going for TT though - I guess we'll have to look to set pieces (aargh - did I really say that :)

Really looking forward to the game tonight. I think we play better when we're on the back foot. It's a big ask but our boys will put in a top performance & we'll win 2-1. COYS!!!

I tell you what I just don't get...

When we let Defoe go, we promoted Tomas Pekhart to the European squad at the expense of Chris Gunter. This is all well and good in theory. But why last week, when Bent wasn't fit to face PSV at the Lane, did we select Taarabt as the back-up striker option?

Why on Earth promote someone that you're not going to use over someone who would genuinely help the cause?

Daily Mail has a picture today of the players warming up and no Gilberto in the picture so looks like he is back in London.

None of us have seen Peckhart play(correct me if I'm wrong). I know none of us have seen him play at Premiership/Wafer cup level becuase he never has, so maybe Ramos decided Taarabt would bring more to the squad and was more likely to make an impact if brought on.

I trust Ramos all the way personally.

Feeling confident after our demolition of the spammers.

4-1 Spurs win - Berbatov, Keane(x2) & Woodgate

Spurs to go 2-1 up and PSV to fold and bottle it after Spurs 2nd goal goes in. We shall see....

COYS !!!!!

Im fearful of this game.

They looked hard to break down last week, although saying that on another day we could have and 3 goals (narrow margins stopped us scoring on a few occasions).

The remainder of our season rests on this game now, if we dont pull it out the fire we have nothing left to play for.

Thus making this a huge game, having said that it has been the case many times this season that we have saved our best performances for the big and important games.

If we turn them over it will be one hell of a European night, the best since the 80s I would suggest. (heres hoping)

Well we go into the game having refound our scoring boots and winning form... for us all now lets put any negativity aside and get behind the team like we did at the cup final and hope for a similar out come (not 1-1 at full time obviously)

I hope those who travelled do us proud and are in good voice and the rest of us will no doubt be kicking every ball with the team from our homes, pubs etc

COME ON YOU SPURS

Remember that a pre-Torres Liverpool beat them 3-0 last year. They won't sit back and try and hit us on the counter at home, and I think we'll get a lot more scoring opportunities. We just need to do what we failed to do last week, get balls into the strikers' feet (or heads) early, and make more effective use of set pieces—we could hardly make less effective use of them.

Gomes is a quality keeper, but he also looks to be as iffy at crosses as Robbo. We've got a big height advantage over their midget CBs that we really ought to exploit better.

Then why was Pekhart promoted to our European squad over Gunter? That's the point I'm making van_Pommel.

because we lsot one striker option, and if we have injurlys and susentions to 2 strikers (which can easly happen) then we would still need another striker option

dont hink Pekhart was ever goin to be the Next replacment if Bent got injured anyway, if he was he would ahve more than likley been i the squad from the start, he was just next in the line to be in waiting for a chance

I seem to remember Pekhart spouting his mouth off over internal matters just after he'd been promoted too, so that may have an influence over things.

While I am much more grounded in my opinion of Dutch football after last week (and the news that I have Dutch blood ), I do still think that Ramos has the brains to pull out a victory here. I am going for a 2-0.
