Thought this might be an interesting way to gauge each team's performance over the season. Pretending that "par" for each of the top teams is a win against any team below last year's top 7, and a draw for every team in last year's top 7, a score of par over the course of the season would be 90 points (ie 26 wins, 12 draws). So basically this table should show how well each team needs to perform in the rest of the season to get back to "par."

For example, we would lose 1 point for our loss against Arsenal, and we would lose 0 points for our draw against Chelsea. Arsenal would lose 3 points for their loss against Villa, but gain two points for their win against us.

So as it stands (after 6 games):

1.) Arsenal (-1): 89 points
2.) Spurs (-1): 89 points
3.) Chelsea (-1): 89 points
4.) Liverpool (-3): 87 points
5.) Everton (-4): 86 points
6.) Manchester United (-5): 85 points
7.) Manchester City (-6): 84 points

So for United to match their total last year of 89 points, they would have to beat par by 4 points in the rest of their matches.

I'll try to update this table throughout the season, think it might be a good indicator of teams' performance.
